  1. So my problem with the moe grip is that its so tight the receiver is shaving off plastic as it slides on. And then it cant go on all the way. The way I see it I have 3 choices: A) lightly file the inside of the handle B) heat gun to make the grip more pliable and accepting C) astroglide
  2. Heh, selector *and* safety :p
  3. Thats true, but thats going to be a future upgrade. A rifle without a barrel is worse than a rifle without a match trigger, right?
  4. Those would be nice, but I already have a few extra ar triggers. After paying for the receiver set, bcg, handle... I'm broke ;p
  5. Well, that's awesome then.
  6. OK, fitting I can do. So the trigger, selector, & safety are interchangeable?
  7. OK, so a Black Rain receiver came home with me today so I figure I'm one of you guys now. I'm wondering which AR15 LPK parts are compatible with this LR308. Is there a list somewhere? Searching was not fruitful for me. I thought a MOE grip was compatible but hell if I can get it on...
  8. Well... April is a lot sooner than my date :) :(
  9. I'm already impatient. :/
  10. Ha, I can't afford the smallest CNC mill. I'm looking at the cheapest that Harbor Freight has to offer. It's not the highest quality, but I'm not looking to do anything too demanding with it. It looks like they would be more than capable of doing this 80% stuff; I'm just trying to decide if I really want to do any other milling around the farm with it. There's been a few times when I wished I had one but I don't know if I really need it. But maybe if I had it I could have a new hobby. Because, you know, I don't spend enough on my other hobbies and I got all this cash I gots to get rid of.
  11. Trying to decide if I want to spend the $$$ for a mini mill... They're kinda spendy.
  12. Decided to try my hand @ 80%'s. Looks like the wait is out to Fall and November for the different calibers. Time is on my side?
  13. I'd like a bayonet for all of my long guns. Don't need a reason. Just need.

Just remember to send me the royalty checks.
  15. Yes, a scout style is exactly what I am wanting to do. You used that Gen III forearm then? It seems to weigh more than I would have thought with carbon fiber. Does it have any flex with the rail attached to the tube like that?
  16. OK, so I'm afraid that I sadly already know the answer but I'm gonna ask this anyway: I'm a big fan of the forward mounted scout scope. Is there a FF tube stout enough for me to mount a scope on the tube? Or would I have to add a cantilever mount off the receiver? There are some that are long enough, but I didn't really want to add the weight of that or a monolithic upper. Options?

Like... a really long Ruger rotary mag? I wonder if that could work... Kinda like multiple tubes that would just feed a new round into the end of the mag which would then rotate the next round over. Million dollar idea? ;)

Ha, at least you're honest. I've already laid out big plans... have to see if I actually have pockets deep enough to complete. I just wish I had some idea of when my back order gets filled. <dontknow> Everyone here is so polite. I'm not used to that on gun boards ;D

Howdy from Nebraska. I backordered a Tactical Machining stripped upper and lower from Brownells a few weeks ago. I have no idea when it will arrive, but I've been spending the time looking over this forum trying to figure out what else I can backorder. Thought it was time to introduce myself so I can properly ask stupid questions and start annoying all you fine people. It's a frustrating time to start a new build I guess, but whatever. Better late than never I guess. This is gonna be my first foray into 308 territory. Can't wait. -44Dave
