  1. Is there a rail mount adaptor?
  2. Well, ordered the barrel last night, and got a bid on ebay for the crows foot; maybe next weekend I can finish putting this thing together.
  3. Those Crows Foot things are more expensive than I would have thought :tfg: Ebay to the rescue.
  4. Huh, I kinda forget about that barrel thing.
  5. Lets see if I can figure out how to post photos from my phone...
  6. So I picked up the 308 version of the Samson Evolution handguard. Looks good. Can't use the standard barrel nut wrench - no holes (does not use the standard nut like the 5.56 Evolution does). It has some shallow flats on it, I'm thinking just get a socket out? Anyone else install one of these yet?

    Dust Cover?

I don't think I want to wait a whole year though...
  8. Well. I never.
  9. And what's the deal with airline food???
  10. Yeah, but math. Amirite???
  11. Edge to edge? Or center to center?

    Dust Cover?

    Roger that.
  13. OK, that's what I will go with! Thanks.
  14. So I see people posting their targets with computer measured MOA groups. Looking around I see On Target. Is that the only program that does this?
  15. My receiver has provisions for the dust cover so I figure I may as well put one on. I kinda like 'em. I only find DPMS doors - aren't there any other suppliers? Maybe even with the novelty etches? It also looks like the spring can come from my AR15 parts pile.
  16. :(
  17. Well that's pretty compelling for Fulton. Just looking at all the options in that same price area.
  18. OK, that's what I thought. I was a bit confused as the Shadow Ops Weaponry bcg I got came with dire warnings to lube it or suffer consequences. I'm sure that's a cover your ass thing to include with it, or they got a crap coating. Heh. Guess I'll find out once I start shooting the thing.
  19. See title; why do I want NiB?
  20. Wondering about the quality, esp VS someone like Fulton. It would be really nice to have a 1 moa rifle.
  21. Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. It was really hard to uncover the differences between all the buffers though. The best resource was that chart @ Heavy Buffer, but even he had some data redacted so you couldn't figure it all out at one place.
  22. Well, it looks like the weight of the buffer is good, not sure about the length though. Truth be told, I'm looking at reusing a 9mm-Q buffer from Heavy Buffer.
  23. I'm trying to decide if this carbine buffer I have is suitable (or be made suitable) for the 308 I'm putting together. Can anyone give me the ideal weight and length of a carbine buffer? If it matters this will probably end up being an 18" barrel with rifle gas.
  24. Brownells has a few different brands listed. Do we like any one brand better than the other?
  25. Ordered one of these a few days ago. Good to hear that folks are having good luck with them - at that price I was a little worried. Just waiting for the shipping... :(
