Here is what I recieved from RRA today in regaurds to the extreme delays in the LAR-8's. We have .308's on order from February of 2012 that are still waiting on components, unfortunately I do not have any type of delivery estimates or updates on the rifles. Our barrel supplier is working as quickly as they can but they do not just supply product for us. Our lead times when given are only an approximate time frame and in no way are any guarantee of delivery by that date, unfortunately many factors can change during the course of time that can delay and cause unforeseen backlogs. This is a reply from an email I sent on Jan 11th, so they are processing through all contacts. So if you are trying to reach them via email, it will be a bit of a wait.

Another Springs shooter here, though I live on Peterson AFB. These are good, cheap places to shoot. Both are free and ran by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Divisions. I linked this to my FB page and was kind of surprised by the responses I got. Figured most people would bash me for this, but those that actually watched it were kind of shocked (Go figure they didnt see that part on the news), LOL.

Found this site yesterday by accident, already met a couple people on here but wanted to introduce myself to the rest. I am 14 year vet of the Air Force, I work inside a mountain and my job involves tracking santa...and thats all I am allowed to say about that. Been an active shooter (no...not that kind) since I joined. My background is in special forces, tactical communications, and intelligence. From what I have seen so far, this place little known gem of information that hopefully grows over the years. Looking forward to learning lots from you lot, and being part of this community.

Yeah...I stocked up on mags the week before all this craziness started happening. Good thing I had some extra money that week. I saw that RRA up'd the price on there mags now. And I love how they say out of stock on all the metal mags...they took months to get them before. LOL...so whats the difference.

Thanks...from Colorado. I knew it would take a few months, but didnt think they would take this long...from what I am seeing here. A buddy of mine ordered a standard length LAR-8 A4 back in Febuary and it came in right at 90 days. Started buying ammo a long time ago, so if it doesnt make it in time at least I will be able to trade for 5.56.

Wish I hadn't found this site. Ordered my LAR-8 Elite on July 5th, so I am sitting at 175 days right now. Been doing a ton of searches on estimated delivery times, but the best case scenario was 210 days on class 3 firearms back in August. This just confirmed my fears it was going to take a LOT longer than that. Maybe I will get lucky and be at the end of the next shipment...though I wonder how many they ship at a time. Sigh...
