Well....after 479 days of waiting...I finally got the call that it arrived. Not sure what to do at this point...Do I hug it...or shun it to the gun safe for betraying me. Still cant pick it up till Monday.

Just an update. 416 Days now since I ordered my LAR8 EO. Plus add on the half month from when the dealer pre-ordered it. So more like 430.

I'd order some...but I doubt they would make it here before the 1st. Damn Colorado. Luckily I travel a lot :D

My LGS called RRA yesterday to get an update on my rifle (LAR-8 EO) for me. Apparently my rifle was an order the LGS put in almost a month (mid june 2012) before I bought it (July 5th 2012). So I am further along than I thought. Bad news is, RRA told them the next batch of barrels is going to rifles ordered in May. And they are estimating another 5-6 months at least before they get to mine. I can't believe this snowball effect...18 months for a rifle? What do you think? Really conservative estimate on delivery, or are people who order now gonna die of old age before their rifles come in?

Well I still havn't recieved my EO yet, but I shot my father in laws and it has a nice clean trigger pull. I have heard a few other complaints though, but rarely. There always could be the bad apple in the bunch. Mag release will loosen up over time. Thermold mags are what you get for the money. Never had any issues...I have ran mine several time through other peoples LAR's with no issues. You will need to file the tab on the front of the mag...dont go over board...small amounts at a time. I knew someone that filed it down at the range, and it seemed to hold. Well once he got up to shoot and pressed it into his shoulder the mag shifted and dropped out because he got a little zealous with his file. After that you should have no problems with them dropping. And as far as the scuffs...I blame the cheap blue case. They dont fit super snug and the peices somewhat move around during shipment.

Looks great...love the look of the ACE stock on it. I see you got the useless blue case with yours...thought they got rid of those and started shipping them with standard foam lined cases.

Good to know they didn't. I was half expecting a price increase till I saw your post. My LGS is military friendly...so I doubt they will try to gouge me.

Congrats GS!!! What was your final day count? I'm sitting right at 320 right now.

I guess we will see, but the free loaders will aways vote to get the grab bag of goodies. We are way out numbered...especially if amnesty goes through.

Damn, was hoping they would catch up soon. Guess not. Probably wont see mine until late summer since I ordered on July 5th..

Geez 399 days...guess I have at least another 100 to go.

I would hate to see what the delivery time will be on this one. I'm sure orders double, trippled, or worse after the 17th. In the mean time...welcome to the waiting game.

It was through his LGS. And I hear you on that...I am trying to keep from buying anything else so I will still have enough to pay off the rifle when it comes in.

Ha ha...are you sure those are leaves of tea your reading? Cause my hope of this coming in within the next month are going up in smoke.

Anyone have any updates? A guy on another forum got his this week at 345 days.

Also why I said the "rumor," take it for what its worth. Not trying to create false hope. At least not in the minds of others...my mind is another story though. :o

Talking to steve the RRA rep, other forum sites (not sure if it is kosher to post there names on here, if it is I will provide the links), news from talking with a couple dealers in Colorado (Specialty Sports and Supply, Centennial Gun Store, Green Mountain Guns. Pretty much what I gather making my rounds each week.

Update: I have heard rumors going around that another shipment is going out the door this week. Also, that they are supposed to be working on orders from June/July timeframe now. Guess that means that the Elite Ops are running behind all other LAR-8 production. As I know that alot of people that ordered before this time period are still waiting.

I hear ya man. Just hit 240 days today. Looks like I have plenty more days to wait. I am having surgery in 2 weeks...my luck it will come in around that time and I will have to drive 2 hours to go pick it up. I'd be willing to sacrifice a day of fore going pain killers though...totally be worth it.

I agree with unforgiven...The dealer lied to you. They work first in first out on orders. The only way your dealer would get one sooner for you is if he is preordering them in anticipation of selling them. Class 3 Weapons was doing that. But Rock River reps have repeatedly said they process orders by order date and parts availability. If someone else ordered that same exact rifle configuration before you, it will be shipped to them.
