Firing pin, bolt carrier, etc... I assume that you're being funny and don't clean it that often if ever??? I'm new to the LR/AR and was just trying to understand how my gun operates. These are the videos that got me in trouble: and this one:

I broke it! New retaining pin will be here Monday. No shooting for me this weekend. How often do you guys clean the bolt carrier anyway?

JP Sauer 1913. Given to my dad, and then me from a family friend; supposedly "taken off a German Officer" during WWII. CMMG bolt carrier. "The pin" does not look like the many Youtube videos I downloaded. How do I get this thing apart? I'll post pics if needed, but I haven't been able to take this thing apart. Thanks!!!

30 rounds, no issues. Cleaned and re-oiled, didn't even look dirty. So far, my 1st Lr-308 is <thumbsup> My better 1/2 having a go at it:

I want to take the family so we're heading out to the mesa, Queen Valley area. I have a 18 month little girl. She likes my Hot Rod, but this will be her 1st exposure to loud gun noise (she'll have ear protection). I don't expect to shoot a lot, but want to squeeze off a few rounds. How wet is "wet." Does anyone have a good link or video? Thanks!

I started with a stripped lower as a valentines day present from my wife. I bore sighted it a few hours ago and am hoping to squeeze off a few rounds this weekend. <thumbsup>

I just picked up a complete upper from AR15sport.com. Looks like they have a few in stock. I'll hopefully be putting my gun together this weekend! <thumbsup>

He said that he doesn't have any uppers in stock. Oh well, back on the "waiting lists..."

I'm in Gilbert AZ. Rally at the capitol? I think Brewer is on board with 2A. McCain is a little questionable, but he doesn't hang around the state capitol much.

My wife picked me up a DPMS (style) lower from Quentin Defense for valentines day. I've been researching parts for the last few weeks (nothing is available) and am considering a CMMG upper. Are there any pro/cons to this combination, or should I stick to DPMS uppers for this build? Thanks!

Greetings from Arizona! My wife picked me up a .308 DPMS style lower (stripped) for valentines day. This will be my first AR and unfortunately it looks like I couldn't have picked a worse time to join the hobby. I've had guns and hunted from day one, but mostly small game, shot gun bird hunting type of stuff. I found this board while searching for part reviews. Later, Greg
