I'm sure that this a redundant thread, but it seemed faster than sifting through 38 pages to find my exact problem. So without further ado, here I go. I have had the rifle for approx. two years and it has been a continuous evolution as I have upgraded parts. I only shoot factory new ammo, typically Federal/American Eagle. The rifle has approx. 1000rds through it.
When loaded with a full mag the weapon double feeds on nearly every shot. When I have only a single round in the mag the bolt DOES successfully lock to the rear but the casing is left sitting on top of the empty magazine (In one instance the casing had turned 180 degrees and was resting backwards on the empty mag). So I feel it is safe to rule out the extractor.
I have recently put a Seekins adjustable gas block on the rifle, but the rifle worked fine for approximately 100rds before the problem presented itself.
The rifle has a JP enterprise Silent Captured Spring buffer system, so I don't imagine that buffer weight is my issue.
The ejected rounds (on the rare occasion that they do eject!) have a dent midway down the casing, two lug scratches on the neck and land at approximately 3:00 o'clock.
I believe that my problem may be connected to an ejector malfunction. The spring is stout but when I place a live round or a spent casing under the extractor on the bolt face and apply tension, the round does not readily fly off the bolt. It seems to bind and the ejector is not flush with the bolt face but rather recessed a bit.
Sorry for the length of the post. Any advice would be very welcomed at this point. Thanks in advance.
