  1. At least you will know what the problem is it you start experiencing the same symptoms. Let me know how yours turns out please.
  2. Range Report. The new ejector did nothing to fix the problem. On a wild hair I removed the Phase Five Extended Bolt Release (v2/308) and put the standard bolt catch back in. The rifle now cycles perfectly....then my Troy battle Axe stock broke and the main pin for the compartment latch fell to the ground. Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. Troy is sending me the new parts to fix the stock and I am returning the Phase Five EBR. I don't know how it was affecting the bolt only that is casing a failure to eject resulting in consisten double feeds. Does anyone have any negative expereinece with Phase Five EBR v2/308?
  3. I will follow-up after I get the rifle out to the range. Hopefully it will be this weekend. Thanks again for all the advice! I am coming to realize that Lr.308s may resemble AR-15s but they seem much more finicky.
  4. I ordered a bolt repair kit. It wasn't very expensive and I figured what the hell, I like extra parts. When it arrives I will replace the firing pin as well. I noticed that my firing pin is being crushed by the hammer. I assume that this is do to the Wolffe heavy power spring that I installed. I was getting soft primer strikes when I first bought the rifle. Not sure if this symptom is a relevant issue, but it can't hurt to replace the part.
  5. I am using BreakFree CLP and I run the weapon pretty wet. I have a Troy battle axe stock, I will be visiting my gunsmith when the new spring comes and I will check the chamber.
  6. I am only using Magpul mags.
  7. Apologies all around for my delay in responding. After reading through the advice I pulled apart my bolt and found that my ejector spring had...snapped? It sheared near where the ejector contacts the spring. A couple bucks later and I have a new one coming. I am hoping that this accounts for the loss of ejection. I also noticed that there was brass shaving in the ejector pin hole; is this normal?
  8. Thank you Sir. It is a pleasure to be among you gentlemen.
  9. It did have a standard buffer system originally and I have had issues like this off and on, but I thought that I had fixed them. I have had the JP SCS for sometime now and up until recently have had no problem. I could be wrong but I don't think the JP SCS is the issue. Those guys at JP Ent are pretty spot on with their gear.
  10. Well, perhaps someone on this forum has had a similare experience with the JP SCS.
  11. I'm sure that this a redundant thread, but it seemed faster than sifting through 38 pages to find my exact problem. So without further ado, here I go. I have had the rifle for approx. two years and it has been a continuous evolution as I have upgraded parts. I only shoot factory new ammo, typically Federal/American Eagle. The rifle has approx. 1000rds through it. When loaded with a full mag the weapon double feeds on nearly every shot. When I have only a single round in the mag the bolt DOES successfully lock to the rear but the casing is left sitting on top of the empty magazine (In one instance the casing had turned 180 degrees and was resting backwards on the empty mag). So I feel it is safe to rule out the extractor. I have recently put a Seekins adjustable gas block on the rifle, but the rifle worked fine for approximately 100rds before the problem presented itself. The rifle has a JP enterprise Silent Captured Spring buffer system, so I don't imagine that buffer weight is my issue. The ejected rounds (on the rare occasion that they do eject!) have a dent midway down the casing, two lug scratches on the neck and land at approximately 3:00 o'clock. I believe that my problem may be connected to an ejector malfunction. The spring is stout but when I place a live round or a spent casing under the extractor on the bolt face and apply tension, the round does not readily fly off the bolt. It seems to bind and the ejector is not flush with the bolt face but rather recessed a bit. Sorry for the length of the post. Any advice would be very welcomed at this point. Thanks in advance.
