Thanks to all for the kind welcome. Initially I thought a build was in order, but know I'm gravitating towards a complete rifle. DPMS Recon, M&P10, then upgrade, or save my pennies and choose a nice Fulton or go for a Colt. Want to do it right the first time. Tough decision! <dontknow>

Southeast corner about 10 miles from the US/Mexico border. Also near Fort Huachuca. This sounds about right. On the other hand, thoughts on a complete Fulton Armory?

Greetings from Arizona. Great to be here, and great forum! The terms neophyte and noob are understatements pertaining to me (please be gentle). :binkybaby: I have a M1A and an AR-15 and am looking to combine the platforms to and get an AR-10. My goal is to buy or build an AR-10 ON A BUDGET! The all caps are for you guys who would gladly help me spend what little funds I have. I do have time though, God willing. The rifle will be for self defense and range (maybe hunting). Like I mentioned, I'm a complete novice and don't know where to begin (other than soaking up as much info from this site) Once again, great to be here and I look forward to your recommendations.
