The concussion is bad if you are not the one shooting it. My father-in-law was about 10 feet to the left of me and said he could feel the sound hitting his face and he didn't like it. I wear electronic earmuffs all the time so the increased noise doesn't bother me. I can watch the bullets impacting the target through my scope which is impressive. I haven't tried it at 4x yet, but at 50 yards on 1x it is great. All I really feel is the bolt hitting the buffer tube and no noticable muzzle lift. The pattern is a vector drawing about 20" x 36" of a Kryptec swatch I found on the internet. I drew it with my sign program (4 hours) and used white vinyl for my stencil. With all the different surfaces on these guns, It was the most difficult stenciling I have ever done and probably won't do it again. My Benjamin Titan Air rifle served as my practice gun and I used Krylon on it. It was much darker with more contrast. I considered darkening this paint job a bit by dusting with a little dark olive or black, but I'm afraid I'll not like it as much and with duracoat, there is no erasing. OTTO

Just finished painting my LAR-8. Clear coat made it come out lighter for some reason, but I like it alright. Took me about 20 hours total.

That would be a cool thing to have.....perhaps a pattern to share when complete? Especially since the 20 rounders are available in quantity. Thanks, Otto

A guy at the shooting range gave me a number to call. I called today and they had a new in the package 10 round steel RRA .308 Mag. Pricey, but I drove an hour to get it. Better run a few rounds through it before Saturday. Otto

Yes....That is legal to do, but I wouldn't know how to do it without binding up the spring or something and possibly ruining the only functioning mag I have.

RRA LAR-8 Mid-Length....Remington Core-Lokt. I just got it a month ago. I put a Burris 30mm 1-4X Tactical scope on a PEPR mount. It is quite acurrate. I can stay in a 2 inch circle at a hundred. My dot covers 2.4 inches at 100 yards. I didn't shoot it at 200 today because I was pissed about the FAL mags. Looks like I won't be taking it to the woods this weekend.

I bought 2 DS Arms 10 Round metal mags last week. Went to shoot today. First round chambered fine. 2nd round slams into feed ramp and the bolt carrier or bolt hits it so hard that it pushed the projectile all the way back into the case....that ain't good. Each mag did the exact same. The 20 round polymer runs fine. I don't want to have to adjust and bend and file. I just want some 10 round (legal to hunt) mags for my rifle that work. Totally rediculous that RRA isn't doing something about this. Otto
