  1. How tight is your optic? Have you tried shooting it off a sled? 10 shots with my LAR 8.
  2. Welcome MrPaul, Yes you can swap barrels, RRA sells them. Also the only difference between a RRA barrel and a ar10 is the ridge in the feed ramp on a ar10. Their are a few guys on here who have rechambered their rifles to non RRA calibers. Now for your MOA, what ammo are you running and is this 3 MOA on a sled?
  3. Sounds like a good option. If any of you guys have a para FAL/SA58 and want to trade plus cash I'm up for that too. Want to build a suppressed one to go along with my 20" LAR 8.
  4. I looked online and people are still trying to get Obama prices. I want to keep my optics so I can put it on my next build.
  5. I'm putting one of my LAR 8 up and want to know what I should ask for it? It is a 16" 1-10 chrome barrel with a shark muzzle brake, aluminium half quad free float, upgraded collapsible stock, two stage trigger and magpul miad grip. (I'm keeping the sights and scope in the picture)
  6. Got a new job and moved from Utah to Mississippi. Life has been very hectic for the last year.
  7. When started this post almost 5 years ago I never thought I would have a second LAR 8 but here it is. I couldn't pass up the deal. My original rifle has the first gen steel half quad and the mid length has the second gen aluminum half quad rifle length that I had to drill two holes in the bottom picatinny to tighten the gas block.
  8. This is the only difference I can find between a dmps barrel and a LAR 8. Some has a "v" ramp and a LAR8 had a rounded ramp.
  9. Gibbs arms, JP enterprise and a couple more make those style uppers. Again unfortunately they are for AR10 only and will not work for LAR8s.
  10. The problem with that is I don't own any platforms this works in. The reason I started this post is if we could get enough orders it would be worth his time to change the tooling to build some that will work in an LAR8.
  11. The problem is that there isn't a big enough market for anyone to build aftermarket parts for LAR 8s. To have someone machine my upper for a non reciprocating side charging handle I'd almost have the money in it to buy a complete rifle.
  12. I'm not into the reciprocating style like an AK.
  13. Mikedaddyh, just checked their site to double check and they don't have any LAR8 compatible uppers either. That is the biggest drawback to RRA 308s. But all and all I still love my rifle just wish it had more aftermarket parts available.
