If not I am hoping one of the companies that makes 80% will clue me in. I am looking for SS 1911 fcastings/forgings as well. The one guy I know that sells them won't let me in on his supplier. We'll see.

Where can a guy order a quantity of forged 308 lowers? I have called a couple of plants and tried to get a quote on ar10 lowers. Maybe the ar10 threw them off? They said the tooling is owned by another company and they couldn't sell them. Maybe I need to ask for .308 lowers instead?

Thanks unforgiven. I'm not ready to leave CO yet but my outlaws have some health issues and step daughter is there. I also plan on attending Montgomery Community College out in Troy in 2014 or 2015, depending when my number gets called. We will live on White Lake until then around the wife's fam. If I can get into the local CC machining program I want to push off MCC until 2015 and get a formal machining education. Figure if I am going to make a livelyhood out of guns, I should get some "real" training.

Colorado Springs but moving to NC next year after the Army. I have shot at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex outside or Carson. Not a bad place to shoot moderate distance.
