Hey first question is will the RISR be to high on a mega ar15 set with an aadland 20 moa 30 mm mount with a bushnell lrhs? I have read reviews about it being high but thinking it would still be okay in this set up. Secondly. Will the RISR not jive well with the tac ops CH having that button on the back side of it?
-
Will do. Thanks It has been moved to gen dis.
-
Sorry, I see where that can be confusing. The ctr will be on the ar15. I just saw the RISR was 50% off so I was wondering if it was worth getting. The scope will most likely be a bushnell lrhs 3-12 set in an aadland ar mount (mount is already bought). I was buying the tac ops ch for the maten but planning on getting one for the ar15 at a later date.

Atlas/gg&g Bipod and aadland 34mm scope mount
Savageman25 replied to Savageman25's topic in Wanted to Buy
Pulled the trigger on new aadmount already so I'm all set. Btw if anyone was lookin to get an atlas psr with ADM for 275 it is on gunbroker. I was going to buy it with the larue QD but that was a deal I couldn't pass up. Guy has 2 left as of now. I would say if your even remotely interested to go ahead and buy it. If you changed your mind you would have absolutely 0 chance of loosing money. -
Couple questions here. I was going to buy a tac ops handle through larue for my maten build and I see that they have the RISR on super duper sale. On one of my ar15 builds I'm going to use a ctr so I'm thinking at the moment, do I need this? Or will I need a raised cheek weld? That's the first question. I already have a 20 moa aadland mount bought for that build. It's a mega ar15 set. Prolly going to be a bushnell lrhs scope on that gun. Second question is since the tac ops handle has that latch sticking out the back, will the risr not work well with it? Anyone have those two together?

Thanks Ed, sent a pm. I am really wanting a QD version. -
So it's almost complete, just need a couple parts and it will be. Posted in the wtb section for what is needed. Take a look and let me know if you have either.

Thought I would throw out a line and see if I get a bite before I go buying new. Planning on ordering these things beginning of next week. So I'm finishing up a build and I'm about to buy either an atlas psr or a gg&g xds-2 bipod. If you have either of those and thinking of selling, let me know. If you read this and have reason to believe I should choose one over the other, please please please let me know. I've lost sleep over this choice. I also am going to buy and aadmount 34mm. If you have one of those and thinking of selling let me know.

Well, I'm an honest enough person to say I don't know for sure. I have an opinion based on unbiased research over the web. I have been self taught everything (using the net) and my own personal experience. It's hard to sift through what's overblown agendas for some reason and what has unbiased Marit. All that being said, if I were to base my opinion on one main thing (being that I don't have direct knowledge of what I feel is best) it would be this a very long but informative read. I highly suggest reading it in its entirety. Here it is http://www.angelfire.com/ma3/max357/houston.html I know that there are lots of different calibers, weights, lengths, etc etc. But due to that read I I'd say the absolute best length of barrel for accuracy is 21 3/4 inches. I know you want longer barrel for more fps and such but I'm not as worried about that the majority of the time. If your talking hunting, I feel it all depends on needs. My Grendel is gonna be an 18" barrel, and although I consider myself an accuracy nut I know that at my hunting distances those inches in the barrel aren't gonna matter that much to me. I'm still fairly young and hopefully in 20 to 30 years I can say with direct knowledge that what I believe, at this very moment in time, will be found true over years of research. At least that's what I'm out to try to do. So the savage pred max has 24 in barrel from the factory. Not a big deal, it's for hunting also. The custom build barrel is an kinda unknown but unless I'm persuaded otherwise it's gonna be a 21 3/4" barrel. That's the camp I'm in as of now. All opinion of course.

Plan to use the 123gr. in it. My original plan isn't to shoot in matches of any kind. I'm not saying I never will but as of now I just go out and plink so to speak. To further elaborate on the 6.5 creedmoor plan of mine. I'm not worried about shooting further than 1000 with this gun. I mentioned that I was in the process of building a Grendel also earlier in the thread. After the Grendel is finished the next two guns will be a complete custom build 6.5 creedmoor and a savage 10 predetor max in a slr carbon chassis (savage for hunting). So to expound on the 142 and 123 bullets, I'll use the 142 in the bolt gun and then I'll see how far I can push the limits.

I actually had a matrix aerospace set that I sold. I never put anything on it. As for slr rifleworks, that's what the sentry s9 is that I had mentioned just above your post. They definitely look good, and as you can tell I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for".
-
Thanks guys, only thing I might change is the syrac to a slr sentry s9 gas block. Either one will be solid.
-
Oh and a tac ops-1 handle

It's a slow process but it's progress none the less. What's on it Mega maten set Jp 6.5 creedmoor 22"barrel Jp enhanced bolt Jp lmos carrier Trx alpha rail 13.8" Prs stock Aadmount What's next to get Kns anti rotate pins Timney ar10 trigger Mega emblem hogue grip Bad cass selector Syrac ord. gen 2 adjustable gas block and a gas tube Jp Silent captured buffer spring Mag catch Gg and g bipod Glass will eventually be a a bushnell elite tactical ers 3.5x21 , but in the short term I'm going to put a vortex viper pst ffp 6x24 ebr2 on it. After I finish this build I'm building a Grendel and that gun will wear the vortex and the creedmoor will wear the bushnell.

I will take the mount

By all rights they don't owe me anything, so I can't be mad either way. But I do hope they have some mercy on me and help me out in some way. It's the very first ruger I ever bought. I'll keep you posted. Haha, I won't push it.

Thanks, I am also very glad.

Set is sold. Locker up. -
This build has been put on hold, due to law, imposed upon by the high and mighty wife of the house. I can't stand it. It might take me a year, but it will get built.

Bump. 375 o.b.o. -
Ya, I have been going back and forth on converting to mils, but I think I might just stick with Mao. Just keeps things simpler since I already use moa. And I definitely will shop around for the best price. Midway has been upsetting me with there shipping charges.
