Robo, I know what you are saying about "If it ain't broke..." I just has pissed me off to to the point that I want to MAKE it work the way I want it to. I guess some things just aren't supposed to be... Unless I were to replace the barrel with a pistol length gas system and dump another bucket load of cash :eek: Or just build the AR308 I want to do :drool: instead...better idea Thanks for the info.

Hi all, I don't have tools or time to alter 5.6 brass so I have used brass from this guy. http://www.bradswarehouse.com/ Quality has been good and prices are reasonable and consistent. Still having a hard time locating powder like all y'all. Win 296 has been my favorite so far. Consistent and cleaner than H110 (imo)

Hi all Debating about the Osprey piston on a 300 with a 16" carbine length gas system. Izzy from Osprey stated he has a piston in a 300Black. Hitch is his is running an 11" barrel. My curent 300 is a carbine 16" Has anyone used a piston on the carbine length? What were the results? I had an Adams Arms on another build and had no sucess getting it to operate. Didn't matter super/ subs NADA luck. Single rounds only. That one is now on a 5.56 platform. Went back to the DI and have had no issues <dontknow> Any help/ info is appreciated.
