I am leaning toward the G2 SASS that comes with an 18" barrel. I am going to a gun show this weekend to check it out and I am wondering how do I tell the difference between the G1 and G2.

It appears that you are correct. Some vendors are saying that it is discontinued while others have them for sale. Good catch.

I am new to the forum and ready to jump into the 308AR pool. I have narrowed my choices to a DPMS G2 SASS or a RRA LAR-8 X-1. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.
