  1. That makes sense! The Spikes heavy buffer i bought was about an inch and a half longer than the buffer that came out of my Ar10.
  2. This is a factory built lower, with the fatory bolt catch. I went home last night and tried different combinations of original charging handle and original buffer, and found that the buffer was the issue. I am surprised that it was the issue. I called spikes to see if the buffer would work and the rep on the line said yes, they personally use the Spikes T2 in their Ar15 and Ar10. So now that all is said and done i replaced the factory buffer and i am using the BCM charging handle. Thanks for the fast replies!
  3. I'd rather be shooting...

  4. Hello everyone this is my first post! I feel like this may be a stupid question but I am just so frustrated with recent events regarding my weapon. I have a Windham Weaponry SRC-308 (best rifle I've shot in the .308 caliber) and I love it. I have added numerous upgrades but I am having issues with what seems to be fairly simple. I have a stock bolt carrier group, stock bolt catch/release, and stock mag release. I run a Magpul Pmag and have never had an issue with the bolt staying back clean/dirty/or after heavy use. Last night I had an order come in including a spikes tactical heavy buffer and a BCM (Bravo Company USA) Mod 3 Large handle charging handle come in. I simply replaced the charging handle and the buffer and everything looks and feels perfect. HOWEVER, When i pull the charging handle back with the magazine in the bolt will stay back, as soon as I release the magazine to put another one in, the bolt is released and pushed forward. I know i ordered the correct buffer and charging handle, but what did i do wrong. I thought about it all morning and cant think of what could be wrong. I am going to replace the original charging handle to see if that is the issue, but until i figure it out i thought maybe you guys may know! Thanks for any advice or help! Dawson
  5. Same here! I just wanted something that I wouldn't get bored of. You just can use a .308 for so many more things that a .556 can do. :auto:
