  1. These are the kinds of threads I love.. I can be a Pic whore and not feel bad about it.. A place for me to post pics that dont get selected for ads.. This is the pic of my First .308 build.. It is now complete, and more pics will be taken tomorrow after it hits the range for the first time. Please feel to share the pics as you desire. I will also be posting videos of the gun, going over the parts used and what the expectations are for this build.

  5. Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am in the process of test fitting a lot of the parts for my first .308 build. Not sure where I should post a thread with pics and details of the build.. Still need to buy a BCG for it.. And decide which of my triggers to install in it (All Geissele)..
  6. Good evening folks. The name is Ancel, but I am known more in the Industry as Shwell. I am a Retired USAF Air Traffic Controller/ Financial Services and I am addicted to building and shooting guns. I have been building AR's for a little over 2 years now, but shooting for over 2 Decades. Firearms consumes my Day to Day lifestyle. I create content on Youtube (Shwell11) and also do ad work for a few Publications. I enjoy having fun. That has been my focus since I retired at the age of 30 (Brain Tumor).. Just this week decide it was time to try something different, without getting too extreme. Have an Aero-Precision Receiver set and a few items already in hand for my first .308 Build. Found this website via a Google search, and have been scanning it for the past few hours collecting information. Thanks for the great resource, and hopefully i can contribute.
  7. Just got my Shipping confirmation for a Midwest Industries 308 Hand guard.. Should be here Monday. I guess it is time for me to decide on the Barrel I will be using for this build.

  9. New here but I have tons of time behind to specific units. I use the VG6 Gsmm 762 Unit and the Lantac Dragon units. These 2 have performed extremely well for me, and i have not found a need to try anything else at this point. My current build will be wearing the Lantac unit.
  10. New to the site. Thought this would be a great place to start.. I am building my First .308 because it felt like the natural thing to do. I have built quite a few AR's in the past Year, and have yet to venture outside my comfort zone. So far it doesnt seem like a huge leap, but I am sure once I start hooting and testing, I will learn even more about the category.
