No just shooting off of sand bags to sight in the scope, and then shoot a few groups.

I just bought a a standard LAR-8 with 20" barrel and with 40 rds downrange one of the handguards is warping. Now everytime I grab the handguard it moves and pops. Is this normal or should I call RR and see if they will replace it. Really drives me nuts.

I wanted a bigger caliber to shoot hogs with. I have several 223 AR's and I know a well placed shot with one will kill a hog. But you don't always have the opportunity for that shot and the 308 gives you some leeway. And besides I wanted one! lol
