  1. Well not in the mail but thought id share. Ill keep the story short. Bought me a Eberlestock G2 Gunslinger 2 pack since i like the size and was perfect for what i was looking for, that and i didn't want the typical Drago gun case that everyone and their mother has. Well i found the Gunslinger for a good price of $299 from Patriot Surplus online, $30 dollars cheaper everywhere else. Got the package in today and when i opened it up to my surprise i did not receive the G2 Gunslinger 2, I received the G4 Operator pack, labeled the Gunslinger 2, which is like a $450 pack. So i struck gold today. this pack is the tits.
  2. Lets see my list of parts on order are: Aero 308 BCG from Aero, RCA 308HP+ BlackNitride Bolt from Rubber City Armory, SLR Stainless Sentry 7 adjustable gas block from SLR, Atlas BT10-LW17 BiPods, a melonited rifle length gas tube, AXTX Raptor 308 charging handle and, a SilencerCo Saker Trifecta 7.62 Muzzle Brake, the last four from brownells. Now just gotta wait for my next GI Bill payment for my Bushnell Elite Tactical ERS and ADM Mount and my .308 will be completed. Almost forgot the heart of my rifle. Also have a BHW .308 18 inch rifle gas black shot peened barrel on order, can't wait for that to get in as with all of it. :sniper:
  3. Yea filing down the bolt catch was the original plan but since my buddy had some extra .308 parts i tried on of his bolt catches and it worked so i traded him. like yall said it may fit on a different receiver or whatever. just glad i didn't have to send my receivers back to Aero. On my thread on ARFCOM Aero acknowledged that they don't make the catch in house its sourced and that also the hole in the catch was probably out of spec. Sad that they can't catch that crap when they get it from their source and ship it out to people.
  4. So i found my problem. Heres some pictures for yall to see. Take notice of the thickness of the pads (mind my terminology) on the two bolt catches. Aero on the left DPMS 308 catch on the right. The thickness of the Aero is > the Dpms one in which it caused the upper to push against and cause the catch to "engage itself". the Dpms one is skinnier and works like a charm. With the DPMS catch installed
  5. If all else fails ill just modify the catch to work not a big deal. I' am not to happy with Aero on this, they seriously need to fix these receivers, and their customer service. I have never had a problem with their customer service but they have yet to email me back about this and i emailed them on Monday. The receivers look really nice but the mix and match of parts and their own parts not even working properly is ridiculous.
  6. I would do that but i theres no point. i have to push the bolt catch like if i was locking the bolt back to the rear just to get the upper to fit down on the lower, i didnt the upper would just set on the top of catch button. ill take some more pics.
  7. Locked as in the bolt catch is being held in the bolt hold open posistion.
  8. Will do. Waiting on an reply from Aero right now.
  9. yea i seen that. found another place that has the "A" catch though. I'm waiting to order it until i hear back from Aero about this.
  10. Ok ill check out DSGArms then and see if they got some. i love these receivers but this mix and match of DPMS and Armalite small parts is getting annoying.
  11. Yea thats kinda what i was thinking. I'm not really wanting to send my receivers back to aero.
  12. So i installed the Aero M5 bolt catch on my M5 lower and when i put the matching upper on the lower it hits the bolt catch forcing it to where it's "engaged in the lock posistion" if you get what i'm saying. Has anyone had this issue with the Aero M5 receivers and bolt catch? if so what did yall do to fix it? Is ther another bolt catch that will work fine or do i need to send my receivers back to Aero? i contacted them but probably wont get a reply till tomorrow. Thanks for any info. ill post pictures once i get them uploaded to my computer from my phone.
  13. Got my Aero M5 308 Receivers in the mail today. There awesome.
