i know you can lap anodized, but can you do the same to cerakote?

unfortunately midwest industries does not make their free float handguards for ar10s longer than 15 inches. who makes handguards for dpms high profile style similar to midwest industries where i do not have to worry about timing the barrel nut? also, what would the minimum length to cover a gas block on a rifle +2 gas length?

the reason i was mad at fulton was because i emailed them both before the barrel arrived in the wrong town and when it did and they ignored it for days when i was just using that email thread to talk to them a few days before that. i can understand someone trusting the usps to handle it but when they knew something went wrong they dodged it and acted like it was cool. everything is ok now though.

YOU CALLED IT!
-
un expected update, i got it in the mail today. i think the guy who received it didn't even open it and sent it to me.
-
kind of. only the same p.o. box. even my own town name was used when it was shipped to the wrong town and it still had my name on it.
-
well in AK someone knows a good barrel when they see one. the dude who got it probably saved it for himself.
-
i'm getting a refund now that that aren't ignoring my emails. i understand an honest mistake but them ignoring what i was telling them for days made it worst when someone else got my match grade barrel for free.
-
They said they'll refund me now
-
I confused them with criterion, which is the barrel I ordered from fulton
-
I told them my correct address 3 times, the dude goes to the post office and they tell him they're going to change the address from what I told him, and he shipped it anyways! They got the zip code entirely wrong and the barrel is in another town They are responding to my emails now, but it looks like it isn't going to go anywhere and they told me I have to deal with the post office.

well i thought i was just going to pay about 350 bucks and get a barrel shipped to me like you would expect from a good company. well that didn't happen. I gave Fulton Armory my correct address, and then they shipped it the wrong address even though i told them to ship it to my correct address about 3 times. after i told them they shipped it to the wrong address they fuckin charged my credit card ANOTHER 330 BUCKS! for nothing. about 700 dollars was paid and i NEVER RECIEVED A BARREL! on top of that they are ignoring my email. fulton, i know you're on here, and if you're reading this then fornicate you, you pieces of poop. refund the last charge on my credit card and please send a new barrel to my correct address this time.

well i like fast shooting bullets, with a .308 being a little slow to begin with i want at least a proper 20 inch rifle barrel. -
Help Me Choose A Match Grade Barrel

yes, a .308/7.62 nato. probably be handloading in the future, and it is going to be my everything rifle except extreme long range. -
this is the rifle that i am building off of. pa-10 stripped receivers, ares NiB bcg, probably a krieger barrel, and all the rest misc parts.

as the title suggests, i'm looking for a dpms match grade barrel. here are my priorities. it must be strong, very strong infact. i want this barrel to last a lifetime of wilderness packing and traveling. it must be resistant to corrosion, not a huge issue because there are things out there that protect against it but i don't want it to start rust specking because of some snow or some bs like that. it must be accurate, this is probably the 2nd most important criteria behind strength. it must be wear resistant, like i said a lifetime of use is expected out of it so i don't want m1 garand bore where a bullet will drop to the chamber from the muzzle because it is so loose. i want to know about rifle twist as well, i would like a 1-11.25 but if 1-10 is "better" then i will get that. i would also like to hear thoughts on chromoly vs stainless steel for barrel material. i am looking for a heavier contoured 21 incher.

I'm sorry, I meant barrel extension, not barrel nut. -

ok, but there are triggers out there that do not fit into a PA10 receiver so I'll try to watch out for the ones that don't work with my gun. -

I'm pretty much set on having a full length barrel. I am interested in long range shooting and using a semi automatic for a change. I want to know what parts besides a good barrel help get tack driving like accuracy. Can the bolt/action/barrel be "trued" like a bolt action gun can? stuff like barrel nuts, gas systems, and i'm even thinking about threading the barrel to install a boss like on my winchester 70. also this is going to be a hunting rifle for big game, as i live in my homeland of the AK -
I'm building a PSA PA10. Cheap, low quality, and proprietary I know. I am using an ares armor NiB bolt carrier group. The BCG fits nicely into the upper receiver. I want an accurate 24 inch barreled rifle. I'm planning on getting a fluted 24 inch barrel with a twist rate that will work for medium-long range(around 600 yards). I want to know what parts do I need that need to be quality for the rifle to shoot at least 1 inch groups at 100 yards.
