Well Gents, when it's inferred one is an idiot what do YOU do? When someone questions how you wish to spent your hard won monies and ones reasons how would YOU react? Never made a misstep in your lives either have you? I love perfect people. I bought the recievers locally in town and only then went to the URL to see the price there and post a picture per a request. I believe it was shepp who kindly pointed out the platform in the product description and I wrote back and chalked it up to "inattention to detail." No harm no foul. Shortly thereafter a few of you decided to flame me in this forum. Only a couple of you have been supportive and positive. If this behavior is indicative of 3/4 of the people in this forum then those 3/4 can choose to not read and reply. However, to the few who were supportive thank you, I look foward to sharing. Torin

Afternoon jtallen83, Yea, my co-worker likes the unfinished recievers but was surprised at the cost. He also thinks I'm nuts for choosing the xh buffer and spring due to the cost. We'll see, eh?!

beeks, For me it's about the build not the money involved. Any idiot, background check and waiting period notwithstanding , can buy a firearm. But to learn and build one....PRICELESS. Good luck on your build my brother!!!!

jtallen83, Thanx for the reply. Logic states that if the lower accepts PMAGS then the minor list starts here: Magpul UBR stock Car-10 xh buffer and modified buffer spring. Honestly, that's as far as I've gotten on a perceived possibility concerning compatability. Oh good Lord so much to learn!

Just joined and am learning for my first AR 308 build. Retired military Pit Snipe.

Hello all. Built my first AR-15 and now moving up a notch. Recently purchased a matched upper and lower and learned that I can use PMAGS. Don't know which platform these recievers are built upon (waiting for an e-mail response from the manufacturer) the AR10 or DPMS. I am given to understand that all parts are not created equal in compatability in this AR 308 world, no? Is there a comprehensive thread or recommended book y'all like where I can learn more? V/r,
