I have built ARs in 5.56, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, and 300 Blackout. I like them all for different reasons but recently I converted a Saiga AK 308 rifle from a sporter config to a 922r compliant rifle. The Saiga in 308 is a great rifle. I love shooting 308 but I prefer the AR platform, so a logical move is to a 308 AR. I was listening to AR-15 podcast from FRN and this forum was mentioned. Hope to learn a lot from you all. I will post some pics when I get it done. The lower is completed. Just waiting on the bcg and barrel to finish the rifle.

New to the 308 AR and new to the forum. I've built ARs in 5.56, 7.62x39, 5.45x39. I also redid a Saiga AK in 308 from a shorter import format. It has become my favorite caliber, but the AR platform is my favorite rifle, so AR-10 in 308. The lower is completed using Aero Precision upper and lower. When the funds become available I'll get the bcg and barrel. Can't wait to get it finished.
