Never mind.

Survival gave me a tip on a non tapered delta ring. Grabbed one from Brownells. Thing is off by a hair and won't seat down over the handguard.

I would sure like to. But where I come from respect isn't given and I'm sure that goes for many people here. I came to this page to seek advice abs share a common interests with others. If I feel like your talking down to me ill give it right back. I would love to hear his advise but don't talk to me like I'm a dummy. That being said maybe we can move forward.

Thank you Survival. But it does say "SPECIALIST" under his screen name. I should have paid more attention.

Nate. We can disregard this phone call. No big deal I'm not worried about it. I got them out. If a mod wants to delete this post feel free.

From what I was told the pins came out the other way. I was just trying to make sure so I didn't damage anything. I did what was suggesting by people on this page. When that didn't work I reached out to the manufacturer. I would rather spend the money and have it done by an expert then screw someone else's barrel up, then I'm out more money. When I asked if I could ship it and I did offer to pay for the services I was told they don't have the tools to remove the pins. Guess you were part of those conversations and I just wasn't aware of that. Because everyone on the Internet is an expert nowadays, apparently your one of the bunch, always trust someone you don't know on the Internet...check! I appreciate Nathan reaching out, I don't expect anything from him. I bought two new pins for $12 big deal it's not about money. Jesus Christ get your panties out of a bunch. I said I got them out, I'm moving forward now. I give a F#$K. I want it to be done right. If I'm being told they come out the opposite way maybe, just maybe something is wrong, if that means I pay someone so be it. Obviously you give a poop, sounds like your having a meltdown over this. I'll be sure to copy you in on any future communication, pm me your email address so I can do that, ok? Thanks Sport!

I am going to reach out to Nathan. I don't want him to think I'm here to bash him. It was nice of him to reach out.

But you didn't offer a solution to "make it right" I have the email to prove it, I also called. I asked if I could send it back and you send me another one and that question went in one ear and out the other. When I asked what could be done so I would not risk destroying a good barrel your solution was "try some heat or find a gunsmith in your area " Bit the answer I would have expected. If you installed them incorrectly I would have thought you would have offered more help other than go spend more of my money because you did it wrong.

Guess I'll grab a half inch riser. If I have an issue I can get the kit for my stock with the adjustable cheek riser. Still debating barrel too. So I guess I have a few odds and ends to work out. Have to grab a bipod. All in all I think it turned out pretty good.
-
They are extra high. I did find a 1/2 inch riser. It's a 50mm that my father in law gave me. I have no problem seeing through it now. I don't forsee another 1/2" being a problem. I was worried about this but didn't have the scope before I sent everything out for paint. I was getting the itch to put this thing together. I have been doing my research and buying parts since last year. Just my luck something like this happens.

I'll have to grab a riser

Blue do you have a link for this?

I thought I bought the tallest mount I could get. Apparently not. Disappointed I had these painted. Just barley touching the hand guard in front.

Port side to non port side

I think having the buffer tube show a little is nice aesthetically, it's not a necessity. I would need a longer vented screw. Post a product link if you can. Just about done. I'll get some better pictures with more light. Still need a barrel. Leaning towards the 20, didn't realize how long the gun would be with a 24
-
Is there a way to use this extention for the buffer tube to extend this stock out a bit? Then I have the problem of the stock being able to spin because it's not locked into the lower.

So I guess I am down to 2..... http://www.fulton-armory.com/barrelfatitan20nmm110ss1x12875gasblockthreaded.aspx https://ar15depot.com/lr308.htm/ard-lr-308-stainless-spiral-fluted-threaded-bull-1-10-twist-barrel-24-dp308

I had been in contact with Moriarti Armaments they told me 6-8 weeks ago they would have barrels in 4 weeks. Then told me this last week 4 more weeks.

Shoot I thought it was in stock. It was the last time I looked at it. That's what I get for dragging my feet. https://www.wmdguns.com/shop/barrels/308-win-barrels.html https://ar15depot.com/lr308.htm/ard-lr-308-stainless-spiral-fluted-threaded-bull-1-10-twist-barrel-24-dp308

Question.....barrel. I can find a 20 and a 24" from what I read to each his own. I can't have threads, state regs. This is strictly a bench shooting gun, I won't be hunting with it. I'm a big guy I don't worry about a little extra weight. My dad who is 70 will be shooting this occasionally but he won't have to move it around that's my job. I'm looking for something that's in stock and not an arm and a leg. My dad is buying this piece, he's retired on a fixed income. Found these two. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/634615/dpms-sst-barrel-lr-308-308-winchester-bull-contour-1-in-10-twist-24-stainless-steel https://ar15depot.com/lr308.htm/ard-lr-308-stainless-str-fluted-bull-1-10-twist-barrel-20-sst55 Again thank you in advance for your time.

Went to see a buddy in the hospital yesterday. Spent 6 hours in the car. Came home tired and pissed off. Little heat and they came out.

Went to my buddy for paint tonight. Should hopefully have it back by early next week.
