  1. yeah i asked the guys who make the upper what lower they have matched with and they said the PSA PA10 is what they have personally
  2. finally starting my 1st LR308/AR10 build. found this upper on sale and pulled the trigger :) http://www.digitals-ar-products.com/product-p/ar-10-billet-comp-16-ss.htm now i just need the PSA lowers to come back in stock
  3. Complete billet upper with BCA SS barrel, BCG, and extended latch charging handle for $479.99. in case you were looking for a budget 308 upper. http://www.digitals-ar-products.com/product-p/ar-10-billet-comp-16-ss.htm
  4. Update, i was able to get out to the range and fired 10 rounds from a single mag. they all fed and fired flawlessly. i am working on putting together a video which i will share once it's done but for now here are the bullet points (pun intended ) - used a Radical Arms upper 1:8 twist, 16" barrel, pistol length gas system upper (standard A2 FH) - rounds had an O.A.L. of ~1.83 in. i think one was 1.828" - loaded on a lee precision loadmaster with lee precision steel 300 AAC dies with the lee precision auto drum measure - tested with 2 types of bullets:
  5. $18.51 @ Amazon. Prime eligible http://amzn.to/2pS7G9d
  6. got some demo packs from Sierra Bullets in the mail today. hopefully I'll be able to test some by end of next week or so and let you all know. Thanks for pointing that out. i would have not thought of that on my own. i have some 5 rnd steel mags and 10 rnd PMags so i will try them both. i did get a demo pack from Sierra Bullets in the mail today but it being mother's day weekend i probably won't get a chance to test it out for a couple of days. I'll let you know once i get the time.
  7. yeah well i refuse to wear pink too it was totally her idea. just walked in there and said i want to help and i said OK. IMO this is one of the best life lessons to teach kids. Reloading requires patience, focus, attention to detail, math, and problem solving skills. everything they need to be successful in life
  8. so they guys over at 300blktalk have done some 300 BLK loads with M1 carbine bullets, but not for an AR. the general thought seems to be that feeding from the mag might be the issue but no one has tried from what i could find I'm in the process of trying to get a sample pack from Armscor. if they won't play ball then i found some for about $11/100 so i'll order them and let everyone know how it goes.
  9. http://amzn.to/2qYO2bd Lee Single stage press. i bought one to have as a dedicated decapping station so my kids can "help" out. the simple fact that the wife can't get mad at me for spending time at the reloading bench because I'm also spending quality time with my girls is perhaps the best $$ i ever spent LOL you can check out this video in case you need some instructions on how to use it :)
  10. so i searched 300blktalk and couldn't find any hard data. i did find this load data from Sierra and it looks like they make a bullet (#2100) for the M1 Carbine that they used to test 300blk with so i am assuming it will work. i guess i will just have to get some and try it out for myself. https://sierrabullets.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/300-aac-blackout.pdf
  11. Berry's plated 224 cal bullets are on sale at Cabelas. $41.99/500 (about 8 cents per) Berry's .22-Cal. 55-Gr. FMJ-BT Bullets
  12. i tried searching to see if anyone has asked the question before and i couldn't find it so i am sorry if this is a re-post. Has anyone had good results reloading for 300 BLK with 110 gr round nose bullets (30 cal M1 Carbine)? i know Hornady makes the 110 V-Max but 110 gr RN are way cheaper. Thanks!
