Thanks for the advise guys, I guess from what I've seen a 2 stag trigger is more for long range precision shooting, but what I'll be doing most is short range and multiple shots quickly. So I'm thinking that a single stage with a short reset is what I need.

Hi I'm fairly new to this forum and also ARs, I recently bought a Savage MSR 10 in .308, and love shooting it. I was told I'd get even better groups if I was to upgrade the trigger, I've been looking at a few different ones and realized I don't have enough info to chose the right one. So here's my question, as a person who's never changed out a trigger before, what features am I to look for, also 2 stage vs single stag, I'll mostly be spot and stalking hunting hogs in Fl. and maybe shooting some deer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't want just go and get a trigger and then not be happy with it.

No the lever is clear of anything.

Yes the stock collapses when using a rest, and yes its' locked, it doesn't happen when ever I'm holding it in my hand; I guess whenever it's on the rest the stock shifts just enough so the recoil makes it collapse one notch. Its a Black Hawk stock that comes with the gun.

The gun was bought new and no modifications have been made to it as of yet.

Hello gentlemen I'm new here and also to rifles, I just got my first rifle, a Savage MSR 10 in .308; I'm loving this gun but I'm having a slight problem, when I hold the gun in my hand and fire there's no problem, but whenever I lay the front of it on a rest the adjustable butt stock slips a notch when fired. So I have to hold the gun at an angle so the butt stock is perfectly straight or else it jumps a notch. Again I'm new to this so I was wondering if I'm doing it wrong or is the butt stock just a bad one, I appreciate any input I can get to help make my range time more enjoyable.
