  1. I hear ya man, im OCD in my own ways as well. if youre gonna do something, it should be done 100% correctly
  2. My interest in this platform was simply variety. why stick with one or two types of firearms when you can buy multiple types
  3. yes, they are stamped other. of all the niche calibers that a standard AR-15 can be chambered in 6.8 seems mildly interesting, but realistically i think its unnecessary. it seems to make more sense to just keep everything 5.56. if i want to shoot a different caliber i can just shoot one of my other non AR-15 type rifles.
  4. ive been kicking around the idea for awhile, actually more tempted by 6.8 although a little apprehensive about getting into another caliber, because that means il have to buy at least 5000 rounds of it too. you know what i really want to do is get something belt fed. i was eyeing the DSA arms RPD, however ive heard they discontinued production, and the ones left are likely unreliable. so maybe il end up turning one of the stripped lowers into a dedicated lower for a fightlite MCR belt fed upper. id really like an FN M249 SAW but dont have a spare $8000.00
  5. ive actually got two ARs in 5.56, and four 5.56 stripped lower receivers that still need to be built.
  6. yea, ive been browsing their products. I was thinking id go with fully assembled uppers with a properly head spaced bolt carrier group and stick with 100% aero parts for one of the builds, the second will be 100% aero parts on the lower but possibly a DPMS oracle upper receiver. I like that plain stock 16" carbine look of the AR, but im concerned about the possibility of an unreliable rifle if i mix manufacturers.
  7. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. i know il have alot of questions but the first step is to search this forum for the info im looking for, try not to ask the same noob questions that have been asked repeatedly in the past. in the mean time, heres some gun porn of the firearms i already own.
  8. new to this forum and the 308 AR platform but been into firearms for a long time. this forum is exactly what i was looking for because i just bought 2 aero stripped lower receivers.
