  1. Happy with how it came out. Thanks for the input everyone. Gonna full send tomorrow.
  2. Started doing this last night to see if it made any difference. Only 75 times left to go HAHA
  3. @98Z5V @Sharpshooter Enough said! I’ll give it a whirl, didn’t need much convincing. I appreciate the input 98.
  4. @Albroswift Wellll crap. HAHA Sorry to get you wondering. I appreciate you checking though! I’ll order another one.
  5. Yeah, kinda what I thought but I’m in the same boat.
  6. I put my 308AR together the other day. Aero receiver set, BA barrel with mid length gas. Today I was looking through some forums and found that to make sure everything is lined up, put the bolt carrier in with no bolt and slide it forward and if there’s any resistance then something probably isn’t aligned. So I tried it out and felt resistance when the key came to the tube. I couldn’t get a good view to see where it was making contact. Took everything apart and was trying to find what I did wrong. I notice the barrel nut is slightly touching the gas tube. I looked down the end of the receiver and the gas tube seems to be coming in Perfectly straight. So on a whim i took off the gas tube and seen how it fit into the gas key when not on the rifle. It’s here I noticed that the tube didn’t slide right into the key. It was some resistance. There’s like a mushroom head on the tube that creates the resistance. Below is a picture of the little bit it goes in before resistance starts. So now I’m pretty sure that’s where I’m getting resistance. No the question is.. is that normal? Or should I get a new gas tube to install?
  7. I’ll check it out. Thanks!
  8. Thanks for the response. I understand it’s not a TRUE AR10 I was just being lax with my wording. I also get using correct wording to get the best help so I’ll try to a better job of that. I’m a firm believer in the Silent Capture spring. I’ve built a couple ARs and used it in those and I have a Colt AR and a work M4 that don’t have them and even my wife can tell the difference. I’m not a gamer gunner or whatever, just a dude that likes to go out shooting with family and if my wife (who knows nothing about guns) and father can feel a difference then there’s gotta be something to it. I’m not a snob about it and don’t mind shooting with regular springs but if I had the choice I’d prefer the JP.
  9. SSA-E will be here tomorrow! Love ‘em and run them in all my ARs.
  10. What SCS’s are y’all running in your AR10? There’s the regular and the H2 buffer and instead of buying parts to perfect it I was hoping to get it right the first time. I have the carbine buffer tube and it’ll more than likely be a mid length gas system that I’ll never run suppressed (so no adjustable gas block unless I’m talked into it). So what are y’all running that’s been very reliable? **first post so sorry if I messed something up, I’ve never really been into forums. I also used the search function but didn’t see a specific question like this. THANKS!!!
