I’ve never heard of a gun I bought brand new in the box being assembled by another company or individual. My serial has a K but it was brand new in the box. I purchased it from a reputable gun dealer too. Someone please explain why this is done for me. Please.

Hey guys. So I know/ have heard that if the LR308 has a K in serial that it was sold as a stripped lower. Here’s my thing though. My LR308 Gen2 came fully assembled in a DPMS box with manual, mag and whatever else they came with. So...it’s a stripped lower that someone completed and i purchased as a new gun from my local gun shop? Paperwork showing that I was the first owner? Im confused. BTW Hello everyone. Im new from Macon Ga.
