  1. Thanks for all the info, interesting reading, read it all once, some parts 2-3 times. Going to look at the barrel tomorrow. The information you posted about rifle length gas tubes saved me a lot of headaches. I was able to steer my son-in-law in the right direction a few months later when he put one together. Both rifles have run flawlessly................................George
  2. During the deepest, darkest days of The Great Pandemic I assembled a .308AR using the information on this site. It has operated flawlessly! Many thanks for all the good information. Now would like build another upper, I have on hand a DPMS style upper and bcg, I can get a lightly very used Armalite 16" barrel for a reasonable price. Will this work? What is needed besides AR10 bolt and firing pin if it will work. Are the bolts interchangeable in bcgs? Are barrel extensions interchangeable between the platforms? Bought the receiver ext. spring and buffer directly from Armalite when assembling .308AR, now don't see the option to buy parts on their site. Any information you can share is greatly appreciated. Is this just a dumb idea that would not be worth the effort? Thank you, George
  3. I did a search lr308 fourms, wound up here and have been reading trying make sure the parts I wind up with play nice together. It seems to have paid off with minimal extra parts and a rifle that functions as it should and shows potential to be a accurate shooter...........George
