  1. Thanks for the explanation. I will fine tune with some better ammo. I am using Herters brass softpoint ammo for this weekend to be safe.
  2. Thanks. Darn auto correct. This was 6.5 creedmoor herters ammo. Just wanted the cheapest to get somewhat sighted. I'm pretty sure I've used some 5.56 without issues.
  3. I've had the upper receiver for about 4 months and finally assembled last Friday. I have the gas block wide open and mid JP spring. We have deer hunting this weekend so I just took it as a win that it functioned correctly. Will fine tune and post if I find issues. Was using the heaters hunting ammo from Cabelas.
  4. The part list is: Gibbz g10 upper/lower, criterion 6.5cm hybrid barrel, superlative arms adjustable block, jp silent capture, triggertech adaptable trigger, prs lite stock, slr helix handguard, aero bolt. Leupold vxi lrp 6.5-20, percision armament m41 comp.
  5. I have a Gibbz upper on an 5.56 set up that has worked real well. I haven't shot it a ton over the last few years though. I seeked input on building an AR10 platform gun. It appears that there was a lot of negative feed back but took the big risk. Shot 40 rounds through it and no issues.
  6. Thanks. Any reason to go 20" over 18"?
  7. Has anyone had any bad experiences with the 6.5cm heavy fluted barrel? I have one on my 5.56 and it works well. I know BA is good for the money but the Faxon is lighter and I like how it looks.
  8. I thought that I would bump this because I am looking for ideas for a twin in 6.5cm. It's a 556 and not "camo" I've shot 4 deer with it. I've used Fusions and Vortex with good results.
  9. Thanks for feedback. I am going to be building this gun over the next like 10 months so I won't have feedback for a long time.
  10. I am confident that they could get it running at a worst case.
  11. Appreciate the feedback. I did see others have issues. There is a good gunsmith in town that has an indoor range. They also are well known for their bolt gun builds. I was planning on them cerakote it. Maybe I will have them put it together... I rather not or maybe they can atleast check the specs.
  12. So my Gibbz G10 upper came in earlier this week. At like $300 plus fees should I get the matched lower? I have a G4 with a poverty pony lower and it works great. I understand that the larger platform is more picky... Thanks
