I have a boot fetish similar to a womans shoe fetish so Im always trying out various tactical boots. It's my opinion that look to those who are on their feet all day for shoe guidance. In this case LEO and Military. The Shoemobile arrived at the office the other day and I was like a kid when I noticed the BATES GX-8 on the rack. There are several variations of the GX-8 but for my purposes I bought the desert tan, composite toe variation to satisfy my day jobs steel toe requirement. This boot is currently in use by some in our military in Iraq and Afghanistan.  I poked around and found they are available at Amazon.com

I forget to mention the boots are very light and comfy. I weighed them against my steel toe sneakers and they weigh 1/4 of a pound more
