Flabbergasted Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 I'm still looking at barrels for a build and wanted to know if anyone has experience with this barrel as far as accuracy goes, or one similar: https://www.kakindustry.com/lr-308-parts/kak-762-stainless-18-inch-rifle-stainless-barrel Its an 18" stainless with rifle gas. I like the price but I'm not sure how it will perform for that price. There are some reviews on the sight that say it is accurate but not enough to convince me that its a regular occurrence with this barrel. Any experience?
guruofhotrod Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 (edited) I've heard talk from some of the veteran members here that KAK is an inexpensive brand of components and in their price range there are better choices That said I believe they supplied Ares Armor's barrels and perhaps other parts (I have a couple of their barrels and am very happy with them - good quality per dollar) furthermore the website you linked shows Green Mountain as their blank supplier and they are known for good mid priced barrels - unfortunately Green Mountain doesn't sell 308 barrels. http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/ Edited August 8, 2016 by guruofhotrod
