Jgun
I was wondering, If I were to replace the adjustable power scope on one of my guns with a fixed power of 10X or less, wold the fixed power be less sensitive to eye relief? Is the narrow eye relief range a product of the magnification or is it brand or type dependent? I see that Trijicon has a 6X ACOG. Do any members have one? Can anyone recommend a fixed power scope in the 6X to 10X range that is forgiving with regards to eye relief?
bgc
The only forgiving scopes I know of are red dots, like the Vortex Strike, but only 3x. I have a Bushnell Elite Tactical 6x24(?) FFP that has quite a long eye relief to it. Most manufactures have the eye relief length listed in the specifications.
Jgun
Are you talking about 6 to 24 power or 6X24? I took a look on Bushnell's site and only find the 6-24X40 and 6-24X50 tactical. Which do you have and how do you like it?
bgc
I couldn't remember the last number. Its the 6-24X50 Tactical.I really like the scope, great glass and a generous eye relief. The rifle previously had a Vortex that poped me in the scull twice.
Jgun
I was looking at the ACOG 6X48, but it's almost 2 lbs, besides being crazy expensive. I think figuring out glass for these guns is harder for me than any other component choices.
bgc
I can empathize with your dilemma.
