I received my order for a Missouri Tactical A2 grip plug this week and it is very good (https://motacpro.com/shop?olsPage=products%2Fa2-pistol-grip-plug-for-arm4). Its fit is secure and I am confident it will withstand an unlimited amount of recoil without falling out.  I did need to lubricate it as per its instructions to secure it in my Armalite DEF10's A2 grip.

While it is designed to store a CR123 battery and an Allen wrench I am using it to store an Otis .308 grip cleaning kit (https://www.armalite.com/product/fg-225-76-ar10-762-308-win-otis-pistol-grip-cleaning-kit/)*. I got this grip cleaning kit for quick field bore cleans including those unfortunate occasions when you drop your rifle muzzle-first into the snow or mud (e.g. while hunting Whitetail deer in Wisconsin) and need to clear the barrel.

*Armalite has these kits on clearance and are listing them as an AR-10 grip kit.  While they are 7.52x51/.308 Win kits caliber-wise the grip inserts are for the M40 and its relatives (please see the pics) so they don't work with an AR A2 grip.  This is what led to the purchase of the Missouri Tactical A2 grip plug. The Otis grip kit's cable, brush, and obstruction clearing hardware all fit within the A2 grip with this plug.  Also note that Armalite took nearly a month to ship my order for two of these kits (don't be surprised if your order takes this long too).
