gunjunkie
I'm about to get a Harris S series 6"-9" and was wondering what the difference is between the leg notch and the regular one and which one y'all preferred. I have the Armalite round aluminium hand guard. Will I need the rubber pad so it wont scratch it? Thanks
gunjunkie
Doesn't anyone have an opinion or recommendation on these two options?
Jgun
I'm also in the market for a good quality bipod for a gun I'm building with primarily bench shooting in mind. I'm thinking about trying a monopod on the rear as well. I've been looking at the Rock SOPMOD bipod. Up to now I've been getting away with the grip pods, but am ready to try something with a wider stance. I will also be interested in any replies to your post. Shaggy
I would recommend the leg notch over the standard. The standard type has heavy springs in the legs that retract the legs, so if you want a different height than the 6" or 9" setting, like 8", then you will have to fight the spring while you turn the locking wheels. I also really like the S series because of the pivot feature. The bipods come with padding attached.
