My loads are 168gr A-max at 2.795". They fit & function flawlessly in my Pmags. Like others, I was also having some FTF issues with the factory DPMS mags.
  2. This is my LRT-SASS with Miculek Brake. I purchased the crush washer, but didn't have the tools to get enough torque on it, so I went to the hardware store & found a washer that had a little bit of a cone shape to it. I also used loc tite.
  3. Good idea Terry. I think I'll polish my expander balls.
  4. <thumbsup>
  5. I don't own an AK, but thought this was pretty cool.
  6. I would recommend the leg notch over the standard. The standard type has heavy springs in the legs that retract the legs, so if you want a different height than the 6" or 9" setting, like 8", then you will have to fight the spring while you turn the locking wheels. I also really like the S series because of the pivot feature. The bipods come with padding attached.
  7. You will probably wear out your expander ball faster. I use Hornady Unique, works great & doesn't cause dents in the case when you get it on the shoulder.
  8. I checked it out at lunch today. You're right, it isn't oil based, but it is a lot thicker than Unique. It says right on the bottle Do Not Use on Case Shoulder. The dents were happening when the lube got on the shoulder or neck. When rolling the case across the pad it is hard not to get it on the shoulder. Hornady Unique is different in that you can lube the shoulder & neck without denting the case.
  9. my 308 A-Max loads cost me $0.45 each without the brass. Not sure how many loads I will get out of my cases because I haven't had to scrap one yet.
  10. It looks like you can order them direct. JD Machine
  11. Here is a few more things you might want: Hornady Unique Case Lube. The lube in the RCBS kit is oil based & will put dents in your cases when you run them through the sizing die. RCBS Powder Trickler will make life a lot easier with that beam scale. Also, I don't use the Uniflow Powder Measure with my rifle charges, I only use it for my pistol loads. The rifle charges were up to a couple grains different in weight & I like to keep my charges within a tenth of a grain.
  12. The scale that comes with the kit works good, you just have to remember to keep a static free environment. That being said, I did replaced my scale with the Chargemaster because it is a lot faster, but you are looking at another $300. The Chargemaster will dispense a 308 charge almost as fast as I can seat the bullet & it dispenses my 223 charges faster than I can seat the bullet.
  13. RCBS Rock Chucker Master Kit I have been using this kit for years.
  14. +1 for the PRS
  15. Not me. I'm self employed, so hate this time of year. Usually have to fork out a couple grand instead of the other way around.
  16. I have to admit that I am a subscriber.
  17. Newly uploaded video on the Honey Badger from FPSrussia :auto:
  18. Nice find. It's too bad I just bought an 8lb jug of Benchmark, or I'd be trying the stuff myself. Let us know how it goes.

    Mr. Robobot!

What's with the "Robobot"? Is there an inside joke there or something? <dontknow>
  20. Yeah, it knocked me on my ass. Shoulder was soar all week. <lmao>
  21. You haven't lived until you shoot a pink gun!
  22. Nightforce NXS 8-32x 56mm I don't own one, but would like too. What do you need all the power for? I would prefer the 3.5-15x or 5.5-22x max. I currently have a Mark 4 8.5-25x & I'm wishing I would have purchased a lower power.
  23. P-Mags are all I use. The factory DPMS mags that came with my SASS had a FTF, but no issues with the P-Mags. The factory steel mags are sitting on top of my gun safe collecting dust, never to be used again.
  24. You will definitely want to wear hearing protection with that brake. I have the DPMS Miculek brake on my SASS & one day I forgot to put plugs in, my ears were ringing for the rest of the day. I have had my ears rung before, but this was the worst. If you are thinking of getting muffs, look at the Howard Leight Impact Sport muffs. They are low profile & they are electronic. $50 on amazon.
  25. Thanks for the info on the mount. I see they get good reviews, but haven't read anything on their weight. I currently use the Burris Xtreme rings & do like them, but they are a little on the heavy side. Made me think the P.E.P.R. would be even heavier, do to the extra material.
