Today, I spoke to a fellow industry insider and he made me aware of something I was completely ignorant to with regards to ALL of the 308 AR bolts. The lug opposite of the extractor does not serve a purpose other than aesthetics. This, as well as the cam pin being troublesome due to the increased load from the 308 cartridge was interesting to me.

Just thought I'd share with the rest of the class.
