rcnut
now all I have to do is find one so I can compare it to an armalite. from what I read recently I really am leaning towards the Gen II. I like the light weight, carbon fiber hand guard, but am undecided between 16 or 20 in barrel. need to hold both and see which one feels like family. I know the first thing that gets replaced will the stock with a daniel defense new stock. I like the molded in soft cheek pad and the curve of the shoulder plate. FaRKle!
Do they make the Daniel Defense stock in a commercial dimension model? The G2 has a commercial receiver extension.

I am leaning toward the G2 SASS that comes with an 18" barrel. I am going to a gun show this weekend to check it out and I am wondering how do I tell the difference between the G1 and G2. FaRKle!
I am wondering how do I tell the difference between the G1 and G2.The biggest visible difference between the LR308 GI and LR308 GII is how much the receivers extend behind the pistol grip. The GII receiver ends the same amount of distance behind the pistol grip as an AR-15 while the GI extends a longer amount (same as AR-10).
