  2. Any time, 308ar.com members are special to us :D
  3. Coming soon! ;) https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=3974 CASS levers are not nearly as plentiful as the BAD-ASS levers, so we haven't been able to set aside some to coat yet.
  4. We've decided to include two springs and two detents with the pin sets. As there are variables at play, at least we can eliminate two of them, the third variable is the receiver, namely, the depth of the receiver's spring/detent hole depth for the pivot pin :)
  5. Robo, we'll be making them in stainless steel as well, just because they look so cool :) We will be making a .308 version, but it may be a while as we're hammering out our receivers and other projects. These prototypes are not in stainless steel, but 12L14 in the white, but the SS version shouldn't look too different. Re: stocks, the stock options we'll offer, when our receivers are released, will be B5 Bravo, SOPMOD, Vltor and Magpul ;)
  6. The ETP and EPP project is complete, we're close to releasing them commercially, hopefully in the next few weeks. What are ETP and EPP? We wanted to create a set of pins that are easier to push in and pull out, all without making the pins protrude unacceptably. A take down pin that sticks out a great deal may be easier to pull out, it creates an obstacle for the ambidextrous selector lever on the right. More details will be forthcoming. The project was delayed a bit as we were adding yet another feature to the EPP. On the ETP alone, there are four changes, on the EPP, there are five. Pictures of production ETP and EPP, there still is one detail we have not revealed on the EPP ;) The ETP is even lower in profile than the factory pin.
  7. We're almost out, next batch is estimated to arrive in September :(
  8. I've been a Norgon Ambi-Catch user for more than a decade, it is probably the best add on ambidextrous mag release in existence (excluding lower receivers with built-in ambidextrous mag release) The issue I've had with it is not all related to the Norgon Ambi-Catch design, it's that the factory bolt catch's bottom paddle is tiny and not easy to use, with or without the Norgon Amb-Catch. With the Norgon installed, the Ambi-Catch's mag release button is on the same vertical plain as the tiny factory bottom paddle (bolt catch), it's equally difficult to access either, especially with gloved hands. We were in the process of creating a bolt catch that would address this issue. Even without the Ambi-Catch, the factory bolt catch's bottom is very small. Seekins Precision produces its enhanced bolt catch that features a larger top paddle, and more importantly, a taller profiled bottom paddle that's easily twice the surface area of a factory bolt catch. Its taller bottom paddle profile makes it an excellent companion for the Norgon Ambi-Catch, with the Seekins bolt catch installed, it is now far more intuitive and less confusing as to which button a user's pressing. We have stopped development of our own bolt catch, and decided to simply use the best in class, Seekins Precision's design does exactly what our own design set out to, and without being prohibitively expensive. We now offer the Seekins Precision enhanced bolt catch as a stand alone product here, as well as a bundle that combines the Seekins bolt catch with the Norgon Ambi-Catch here :)
  9. Doing fit, finish, function, and more importantly, live fire testing on new test receivers. Thanks to Dave, Ron, and their crew at Battlefield: Vegas for allowing us to use their hardware, tools, range and ammo :)

  11. SS, I believe it's a case of tolerance stacking. The same setup in a different receiver may yield different results, it can also be the issue with the trigger. Our selector diameter now is smaller than milspec so to be more compatible with aftermarket triggers, almost all semi auto selector centers are slightly smaller. For an M16, aftermarket triggers are nowhere near as prevalent and numerous as semi auto variants. Many of the aftermarket triggers vary quite a bit from factory specs, especially the trigger packs where the hammer, trigger, disconnector, springs, etc. are all in one piece. Factory triggers usually do not have tolerance stacking issues, but that's a blanket statement. I've heard LWRC triggers sometimes are funky, and did experience this once when a SWAT officer and his team had LWRC M16 triggers, but it's not enough for me to put all LWRC triggers in the group we deem suspicious.
  12. I don't see a Battle Arms manufactured Magpul BAD type device in our future. There are many in the market already. Many of the controls were under development and consideration at one time or another at Battle Arms, if we couldn't do better than products already in the market, or there's a potential for patent infringement, we just carry what we deem to be the best in the market (e.g. Norgon Ambi-Catch, Rainier Arms / AXTS Raptor charging handle) :)
  13. ss, what kind of trigger do you have? Is it one of the trigger packs?
  14. I hope to post prototype pics in couple of weeks :D
