H2O's Rogue Modifications & Upgrades .

Mounting optics on the 15.25 inches of top rail you get with the Rogue bullpup chassis has been a challenge for me. I found that the reticule needed to sit up high, higher than I'm used to... finding the eye relief sweet spot was also a challenge. I tried several different combinations and the one pictured below seems to meet/exceed my wants and needs. Magpul MBUS - Gen II, LaRue Tactical LT608, Aimpoint CompC-2X 2MOA, EOTech FTS 3X magnifier - Gen II. * The MBUS required some work with a file to fit... this was an easy modification. I am able to co-witness the MBUS through the Aimpoint and I will eventually have an Aimpoint Comp M4s for my bullpup.

The one with the AR receiver extension tube (M14ALCS/CV) is the lightest, but I'm not sure the M14ALCS/PMRI is any heavier than the M14ALCS

The X-14 50 round drum I received was a little too wide for my Chinese receivers - I returned it to the manufacturer with measurements, they will send me a new one that will fit and I'll post pictures with a range review when that happens. Until then...

SAGE got it right when the added the PRS2. The MK14 Mod 2 uses a modified buttstock with a PRS2. These are heavy barrel rifles built for the NAVY by CRANE.

The offset MRDS didn't work for me on the bullpup so I moved it over to my long range Crazy Horse M14 EBR-NMRI-SEI rifle. I am making a few changes to the bullpup, I'll post pictures and results soon.

I have a set of micros on my Leupold MK4 Rogue and they work just fine. I would need the taller ones if I wanted to co-witness with a red dot.

This is my one and only AKM, it's a 7.62 x 39 pre-ban Norinco type 56S that I have modernized. Light weight, accurate, reliable and it cycles sub sonic ammo when suppressed.

Mag changes on the M14 have never been 'fast' and learning the bullpup configuration takes time... I am about to find out if the new 50 round drum mag that's on the market will work with the Rogue - stay tuned.

I had a few minutes to spare today and zeroed in my scope. I'm not comfortable firing from a bench and that's probably why one round is pulled way off to the right.

Scoped with a Leupold Mark 4 1.5-5x20mm MR/T 168 gr 7.62mm M2 with illuminated SPR in tall wire EDM rings from SEI. The cat-tail is from LaRue Tactical. The evolution of my m14 bullpup continues... I had a SADLAK tactical mag release installed... this is a must have item for all Rogue owners. Reaching around and behind the mag body to release the mag is much easier with the SADLAK part. I also replaced the original Rogue pistol grip with a Magpul MIAD. The grip change gives me a bit more room to rock the mags in and out of the receiver.
