I crawfished for our neighbors all through high school, then went to play football in college and sand blasted off shore platforms over the summertime. Got an undergrad degree in animal science and a masters degree in environmental science while working as vet technician at the local emergency pet hospital and a day clinic, and I recently got accepted into the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine so in 4 years Ill change my name to Dr. MegaTon <laughs>

O yeah Contraband days is still a party in these parts. Hopefully the only place in the nation where for about a month out of every year you have to get used to seeing people dressed as pirates everywhere you go.

Im looking into putting a laser system on my dpms 308, but Im having a really hard time weeding through all the airsoft crap. Of course I need something that can hold up to the beating that them big 7.62's are gonna dish out, and I need an IR laser/illuminator function on it.

Thanks everybody. I really like the prs stock and I love troy products so thats probably the route Ill go again. The mega receivers have a good look but hows the quality on them? And how compatible are they with dpms parts? Once again thank you guys for all the suggestions!

the other rifle is a dpms with an a4 upper, a 16 in barrel with the 13.8" troy MRF battlerail with Blackhawk pistol grip, foregrip, and single point sling. Its topped off with a sightmark night vision scope. I want this next rifle to be my day gun, and I want it all colored dark earth. Something about a dark earth rifle with a chrome barrel seems so appealing to me. Probably with a longer barrel. I know it's a very opened ended question but thats the fun!! <thumbsup>

Im looking into building another ar 308 and I've been kicking around some ideas in my head of different configurations. I figured it would be more fun to see what you guys thought about what kinds of uppers/lowers/barrels/etc would make a good rifle or just ideas for projects you never finished. My only standards are that it isnt larue or pof expensive, I can use it for hunting to keep the woman of the house from asking too many questions about why I need it, it can also function as a decent battle rifle if it had too, and it needs to accept dpms magazines to be compatible with the other rifle. Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Im in school to be a veterinarian. I work at 2 vet offices in town to pay to keep the lights on and I work as a bouncer at 2 night clubs to pay for my gun habit

Just wanting to say hello from Louisiana. Bought my first AR platform just a few months ago. She started off as a DPMS sportical .308 but I put a low profile upper on her to match my Troy MRF battle rail, along with a bipod, magpul flip up sights and a sightmark night raider. Shes the ultimate night hog hunting gun. Now Im itchin to build me a long range ar 10. But I digress, great website lots of good information.
