I found this line in the Magpul UBR stock instructions: "NOTE: DO NOT USE LOCTITE® OR OTHER LOCKING COMPOUND ON RECEIVER EXTENSION THREADS." I think thats pretty solid info.

I did look at the instructions on the Magpul website. I was more curious if actual users were doing anything else to secure the extension.

Good morning all; I am using a Mega Arms lower (ma-ten build), a DPMS Receiver extension tube (rifle length) and plan on putting a Magpul PRS stock on the end of it. Is the receiver tube simply screwed on? No threadlocker etc? I know on carbine length stocks they stack the endplate. Does the Magpul PRS go into the backplate notch and get secured? I do not own the PRS stock yet. Just doing research. Thanks.

Just got my Mega upper and lower and this will the be the route I am going.

Any idea how much force is exerted on the .308 bolt catch after emptying a magazine and catching the carrier (or what does the spring exert)?

My apologies. It looks like part of my post got cut off. I posted that in the Mega Section because I am using the Mega Arms Ma-Ten upper/lower combo.

Do you use the .308 or the AR15 version?

I was under the impression just having the parts in the same "area" could be looked at as "intent" to assemble....be careful
