Hey all, I am looking for a Rail for my CAR 10. I'm looking for something like the Superior Weapon Systems E1-15" rail. I like the knurling on the rail, but I want to be able to attach a sling without using a rail attachment point other than the QD swivel. Any options?

California has great locations and wonderful views, its politics are not.

I'm looking at something like the Samson MFG Evolution rail system. Thank you all for the input on the barrel nut. I dont necessarily want to build another ar-15. I put more $$$$ into my first one than planned.

So one question I have, and this is a stupid question, but will a standard AR-15 forend/forearm fit a 7.62 barrel? all the rails/forearms I look at and go, that's what I want are for AR-15's and I would feel pretty stupid if I ordered a AR-15 forend and it won't fit my .308 barrel. Dan

I like the AR platform, and it was a likely progression from my AR-15.

Congratulations! I'm a couple years away from that still, at least thats what the GF and I say. I will definately pick your brain. I haven't shot my 15 past 50 yards, and I want to shoot out a ways, but employment would help with that first.

So I'm trying to find a handguard that will work with my JD upper. I know that DPMS has 2 heights. Does anyone know which 1 JD is? I'm looking at a Black Rain Ordinance handguard. I'm willing to go with others, I just don't want to have a beast that I can't shoot without a bench.

I've been told that I always need to match the gas length and the buffer length is why I'm concerned.

Hey All, I'm slowly building my JD Machine Tech 308, and I need some advice. I want to run a Vltor stock(easiest cheekweld for me) but I'm concerned that if I use a 18" barrel that I won't be able too. All of the 18" barrels I'm looking at are mid-length. Will that be a problem?
