just a personal preference. I want the rifle to be somwhat mobile and not just a bench queen. May hunt with it here and ther. I have both 20 and 24 inch heavy barrel bolt rifles and I gravitate to the 20 every time!

No components. This is a complete RRA rifle on order. Im closing in on 6 months since ordered so I hope to have it soon. Yep PRS stock sorry I am fumble fingered on the keyboard.

Well while Im waiting for my new RRA rifle to get here I am working out my frustration at the reloading bench! I am working up a pet load for future bulk reloading. I am trying a newer powder called AR-Comp. Anyone have any luck with this? I here it is similair to varget except it meters much better. It also produces similar vel with less powder. I plan to work up to 43 grains. Does anyone know if this is to hot a load for the Lar-8???? Or what type velocites this would produce out of a 20ish barrel?

Can anyone explain this more thourally? What is the point of working up loads this way?

Hello all, new guy to the forum and doing my first 308 on AR platform! Here is what I am thinking, any comments or opinions are appreciated! Lar-8 Varmint 26'' barrel Cut barrel to 21 and install muzzle break (would have ordered 20" rifle but my dealer had a 26 on order already) Vortex viper 4-16-50 MOA burris one peice mount??? thoughts comments here. Should I just use rings or one peice? Mag pul PPS stock

I have had one on order since Nov 2012. So I am closing in on 4 months. I have heard it has alot to do with how much business you do with RRA. If your dealer orders a rifle here and ther your gonna be waiting awhile! The dealer I am using sells the crap out of their products and says it should be about 6 months Lar-8 varmint. They also said that pre paying for orders seems to speed things up. For exmple they told me they just wrote RRA a check for 92K!!!!!
