  1. Now if I could get the rifle, a 16" LR, on a diet to drop 2 lbs, I'll be set. Mine tips the scales at:
  2. Now would be the time to buy here. Our property values are still low, but are going to creep back up soon.
  3. Short bus and Armalite pusher?? Kinda figured myself as the short bus type since I have some misguided love for DPMS LRs.
  4. I live less than a mile from there! Thanks for the welcomes everyone. Here's a snowed in LR308
  5. Grand Jct, to be specific. Looks like a great gun board to me, and I was spending waaay to much time on ARFcom. we love ARs in GJ....4th of July parade.
  6. Insomnia got me here, that and the fact that I really like 7.62 rifles. Your tech forums will keep me here
  7. Looks like I'll be cutting down a couple Pmags, I hunt with mine in CO. A 5 rd max is needed, I have the DPMS 4 rd, which I modded to 5 rd. They do work, but are a bit much weight wise. Plus, I have enough 20 rd Pmags to take a bath in ^-^ Thanks for the how to post.
  8. If yours is the bull bbl I bet it is heavy. This is a 16" LR308. I had an 18" bull and found it to much to lug around elk hunting. I sold mine to fund this one. I looked into having my barrel turned down for about 200.00, but just decided to sell it and buy another.
  9. I have to bump this thread. It has been a good read for me or anyone who owns the LR platform. Someone may have said this earlier, but I was able to cure my FTF/FTE by removing the extractor and stoning off the burr on the claw. 16" LR carbine has Been 100% in 160 rds. since then. I think my mags were a little rough, particularly under the feed lips. Those burrs were also stoned off. The P mags are great, but I have to use the DPMS 5 rd for hunting. At least till they make 5 rd Pmags.
