  1. Yikes 98Z - point well taken. I'll pull it off this week and see if I narfed it up like that. Hope not. Thanks for the pics!
  2. Thanks for the welcome all! :yup:
  3. They're still the same price and with coupon code MERRYCHRISTMAS - free shipping. I ordered 6 this morning and forgot the code until after hitting the buy button. E-mailed Dave to see if he could fix it and he followed up with a response email and a phone call! That's mighty good service in my book. Especially since they now make less profit from the sale. Good people for sure <thumbsup>
  4. LOL - well I did leave it on there but thought about it later. I'll have to do some shooting and see what happens. Thanks! It's a snug fit on an AR15 yes but, from the last one I installed, I think it was the fit between the Delta ring and the end cap. I'm old, CRS infected LOL. Thanks! Mine went on pretty easy but it was the sound of sheet metal against heavy metal that made me wonder if I'm screwing things up. It's installed and looks good but I am a Magpul fan boy of sorts. Thanks!
  5. A question for the experts: is barrel contact to hand guard heat shields detrimental? I replaced the S&W standard handguard on my M&P 10 with a Magpul Mid model with heat shields. I've read installation on the M&P 10 is difficult because they were designed for the smaller 5.56 barrel. Mine slipped on without too much trouble but I'm 99.9% sure those shields are laying against the back part of the barrel. So the question - what to expect? Should I remove the guard and bend away the shield? Is it possible accuracy will be affected? Will handguard heat increase now compared to a no contact situation? Appreciate any input from those in the know. Thanks!
  6. Four LR 20 round P-mags bought from GunBroker which the Post Office sorting station subsequently "lost". I should not order anything that ships by them as it's not the first time. Oh well........
  7. Learned something already! <thumbsup>
  8. Hello all, Always wanted a .308 AR style rifle and finally pulled the trigger at 61 years old. Have two AR15's (Colt SP1 and a S&W M&P 15 Magpul Edition). I like the Smith's so purchased their M&P 10 at a decent price. Found you guys while looking for reloading data. Been reading the forums the last few nights and think this looks like a good forum to participate in. Hoping to learn much from you guys. Thanks for letting me in :))
