  1. Thanks, I don't normally comment on forums let alone share photos of my low budget builds but jigs, fixtures and tooling have provided and I can certainly relate to all those frustrated with some of these 80* jigs that are out there. So Sorry if I've "HiJacked" the Thread and hope all those making "Chips" on their own, sneak up on all their finish cuts. Very Rewarding. Forgot to mention the 10s have Syrac Adjustable Gas Blocks to reduce any "Over Gassing" Issues. Safe Shooting.
  2. Thanks Sketch!! I have 2 Sons and keep it in "Pairs" so there's no Bickering. Forgot to mention the Syrac Gen ll S.S. Adjustable Gas Blocks were last upgrades and have made things run much smoother for the 308s. Here's a few "Pairs" of Stainless.
  3. Im a Retired Toolmaker and finished this 80* Lower last Spring to have an AR in a larger bore for "Plinking". The Lower is a HellFire Armory 80* with Geiselle SSA FCG and a Tubb Spring. On top of this is the PSA 10(Yep, I worked through those "Issues" as well) with 16 Heavy Barrel with a Fortis Mfg. Muzzle Brake, a Midwest Ind. 15" Guard, 4x16x44 Leatherwood Glass(Our range is only 200 yards) and a Harris Bi-Pod. With lots of fine tuning It runs waaaay better than I imagined. Solid, so I'm glad I finished the 2nd one identical to this one. The only benefit I've found with these 80* Lowers verses "Complete" ones are the Billet Hellfire are Rock Solid and gave me incentive for the build. Safe Shooting.
  4. Always looking for new info and new build had me Creeping. Found the Link and like it!! Here's my latest and is 1 of 2 that are identical.
  5. Fortis Mfg. works for me. Just sayin.
  6. Fortis Mfg. Muzzle Break.
  7. This is my first lr308 budget(If there is such a thing with 308) build. Not finished yet but so far Ive used a HellFire 80* Lower and the PSA ar10 complete upper with the 16" SS Bullbarrel, a Fortis Mfg. Break,a Midwest Industry 15" pod key rail and a Harris BiPod.Here's where it gets interesting, I'm doing 2 indentical. The first I used a DPMS Lower Parts Kit with no problems the 2nd I used a PSA Lower Parts Kit. The PSA takedown and pivot pins were too short. The PSA bolt catch is different in size from the DPMS and is hitting the Bolt Carrier when cycled. Like most of the 80* lowers they're not close enough to spec(no matter how they fit in the "Jig")for an enhanced trigger to be used but as a ToolMaker of 25 years I'm not giving up installing this Geisssele SSA Trigger!! Still working the "Bugs" out but so far I'm very happy with the first one that's waiting on some glass. Safe Shooting!!
