  1. Well, you have a good point.
  2. Sorry "Ironmonster"
  3. Good info Ironmaster. I've got a Rainier select barrel but won't be going with their bcg when the well reviewed Aero is almost $100 cheaper. I like the Aero but it's hard to beat Toolcraft's no questions asked lifetime warranty. The only reason I haven't already gotten one is because I can't find many reviews.
  4. Yeah I haven't heard many good things about the Radical. I'm very interested in the Toolcraft but can't find much info on it.
  5. Hey guys, I'm down to only needing a BCG to have a functioning rifle. I've seen a handful of BCGs by companies that all look the pretty much identical and it has me wondering...Is there only one or two manufactures of these BCGs and they're just selling them to these companies with the company logo on them??? Here's the few I was curious about. Prices are approximate. Radical Firearms $150 Rainier Arms $290 Aero Precision $195 Toolcraft/Cryptic Coatings $185 The cost isn't really an issue but you generally pay for what you get. With that said if there is a single manufacturer that makes both the Radical Firearms BCG and Rainier BCG with different logos it would be foolish to spend the extra on the Rainier if they're the same. See what I'm saying? I do think the Aero and Toolcraft BCGs have chrome lined IDs.
  6. Thanks a lot guys.
  7. Hey guys, this is my first build and I didn't find anything with the search feature. I received my Rainier Arms barrel and MI hand guard today. I snugged everything down by hand just to make sure it all fit correctly and there's a gap between the barrel nut and upper. The gap is .154". Is this gap normal??? Or will it seat all the way once it gets tightened with a torque wrench? It's a Cross Machine Tool upper. Thanks.
  8. MI 15" M-Lok handguard. And hopefully in a couple days a 18" Rainier Arms select barrel coming from George_995.
  9. Thanks guys. I'm from Hamilton as well Zebra.
  10. Hey guys! I've been trolling for a long time and thought I'd join. Been a lifelong hunter and gun enthusiast but really have limited knowledge on AR platforms. Decided I wanted a .308 AR but the cost for what I considered a "good" rifle was just more than I could afford at one time. I like to tinker anyways (machinist by trade) so building one from bottom up was the only reasonable option. I'm about half way through the build not counting optics. Looking forward to joining in on some of the great topics!
  11. George are you willing to separate the two? I'm in need of a barrel only.
