  1. This is one of those times that some punctuation would have kept me from spitting out my drink.
  2. All i have are excuses. It's my first adventure with this platform and I haven't accrued extra parts yet, my dog ate my homework, the old lady made me do it, I was drunk on homemade shine, I swear I thought she was 18. Idk pick one.
  3. Well i broke it lol. Pulled the o-ring and the issue continued figured "hey why not pull the spring and try compressing it some?". Idiot, spring slipped got bent now it's crap. Will go to the smith tomorrow and pay for stupidity.
  4. O-ring pulled hopefully I will be able to get to the range again soon, if not may try a "desk pop" in the backyard. On a positive note I do believe I found the most wasteful shooters on the planet. I decided to pick through the brass cans during target change since i wasn't shooting much, fired 100 rounds and returned with almost 400 empty 308 brass in less then 2 hours.
  5. @Farkle - Happens regardless of number of rounds in the mag. Ares NiB bolt and carrier with stock extractor and spring. Extractor broke my plastic cleaning brush attempting to get it to move. It is ridiculously stiff. @Dane - There is actually material missing from the lip of the shells. Magpul mags, one 20 and one 10. Pictures to follow. Normal scuff marks on the brass. @Wash - Bolt gravity drops into battery very well, misses complete lock by maybe a 32nd of an inch. Gas tube isn't interfering. BCG was serviced prior, bolt locks to the rear on last round without fail. As an update: I'm cleaning and I'm finding a lot of brass shavings the same relative size as the face of the extractor and when i pulled the bolt apart there were a lot of shavings under the extractor in the firing pin track. The extractor also has the rubber donut on the spring, is that normal for the 308 platform? I'm aware of why it was done for the M4,but not sure this weapon would have the same issues. In case I miss it later, thank you all for the support.
  6. And the bolt not going into full battery is one. Went to the range today and out of 100 rounds i had to rerack 90 of them. Headspace checked, dripping in lube, no visual issues. The only thing I'm noticing is that the bottom face of all the rounds have one hell of a wear mark from the extractor. Almost like its not opening enough to grab the lip of the shell, but just slamming into the bottom of it. Any thoughts before i find a professional?
  7. Anyone near Jacksonville NC, I received a notice from a LGS that they're having a customer appreciation day this Saturday. Deals look good and 80,000+ rounds of22lr will be sold for the correct prestupid price. Not sure if posting names and such on here violates any rules so of you want more info pm me.
  8. Tool, which one is that?
  9. One fewer remaining as well as a TacOps handle, my checking account really hates you guys. On a side note i fat fingered the order on my phone and had to call to have it corrected, AWESOME customer service. Ended up talking more about life and retirement then about the order, but i enjoy that kind of conversational service. Also asked about ship times, promised i wouldn't hold him to anything because well obviously schit happens, but if the estimate stands I'll be really happy with the turn around.
  10. Having no knowledge of this company at all I'm timid, but you're responses tell me should be ordering.
  11. Ya with a 50 on the headstamp. Honestly though they showed up today and looked great, i can't wait to try them out.
  12. Own one, haven't shot it yet but it Headspaced perfect and is great quality.
  13. Just got mine in and given how this thread has been going I was more then a little nervous, so I ripped open the box and started inspecting every single round. Quality seems AMAZING, but when I went to load them into a mag I started having the same issues Wash had. After a couple attempts of not being able to get more then one round to load in the magazine I decided to try and single load them, this proved to be VERY difficult but after removing the lower and using a rubber mallet to the back of the bolt while the rifle was locked in a vise the round seemed to slide right in. No sooner did I get the weapon back together a yeti walked into my backyard, it was the damnedest thing. Raise the weapon to my shoulder and squeezed one off almost cutting him in half it was absolutely amazing. I am so impressed with these rounds I will absolutely be buying more when they go on sale again, I only hope to be able to figure out how to get them to cycle better. I've attached some photos that I took while I was having the initial problems.
  14. I was serious earlier when i said i picked up a few cases, you really had me going for a minute.
  15. I purchased my matched m5 receivers from them, shipped before the end of the day.
  16. Given what i know a buddy just spent for his this seems pretty good. http://www.schuylerarmsco.com/catalog.php?category=104563 Under Areo sale on the left.
  17. I figured as it went on i got caught up in something.
  18. Does it measure out right?
  19. I can't tell you how much i hope you got a poop batch wash. A fair about of money was spent and I'll be REALLY disappointed if it's crap. Maybe I'm just way too new to this, but it appears to me that those are soft tip not OTM or am i dumb?
  20. Headspace professionally checked last week. I think i may get her all screwed down cover her in lube and break her in. As I stated before thank you all for you help.
  21. I'm still a relative novice, but to the best of my knowledge the .210 IS the DPMS high profile. As I was putting the gas block on I originally pushed it to the shoulder until I remembered a comment on here about the shoulder normally being set for a front sight and needing to leave a small gap. As I started to tighten the gas block down (set screw kind) I found that when the rear set screw set into the indent on the other side of the barrel it left a nice little gap right at the shoulder, again making me feel confident. However as I sit here debating the range tomorrow I'm left wondering, is there any way I can verify that the gas hole in the barrel and the gas block aligned correctly? I purposely haven't tighten the handguard screws down just in case I needed to pull it all apart. Any tricks I'm unaware of?

  23. @D.R.D. I had wanted the MLok,but ended up knowing someone that bought the keymod in the wrong height and couldn't return. I paid for new handguards on an ar15 build and he gave me those. I did find some of the ss in 15inch for 157.00 online.
