No. I'm a righty. I just work the bolt with my left hand when needed and I don't lose my check weld by having to come of of the rifle to pull the charging handle.I shoot nose to CH like my Drill Sgt taught me.

Just got it back from Scott Medesha. My po man"s REPR. This is the third one Ive had him do, but the first 308. He charges about $100 and I love not having to come off the weapon or take my trigger finger away from the grip to work the bolt.

It wasn't the receptionist. It was a salty customer service rep that basically told me to climb a weed. Lesson learned and it's not an issue with me. I don't normally buy factory ammo and my new JP High Pressure bolt setup should mitigate the issue. It's a $216 investment in this not happening again and its the same fix my POF in 6.5 CM needed with Hornady performance and my handloads. The swapped my oem bolt for one with a smaller firing pin hole in the bolt face and a smaller firing pin. I'm rolling my own now and going to do round devel as soon as Scott Medesha finishes my side charging bolt handle mod.

Response received. They told me that due to many untold variables, it was just incompatible with my setup and advised me not to use it. Unnecessary advise as I wouldn't want to deal with the pierced primer issue. Guess my buddies are getting $100 of free ammo for early Christmas!

Roger that. I already sent an email with pics and rifle specs.

Tried 10 rounds and 3 primers pierced. My hand loads with LC brass and CCI BR2s showed no primer craters or punctures with and without suppressor. And both were chronographed at 2550 fps or so.

Anyone experienced pierced primers with SSA 175 HPBT ammo?
-
Lubed, shot it and it's a hammer. Less than 3/4 moa. And everything smoothed out. Shot some factory match 175s and it punctured the primer on each one. My hand loads with cci primers did great. No craters, flattening or punctures

My .308 learned a new trick... Bolt catch not catching properly.

Make sure you have 308 buffer and not an AR15 as they're longer and will keep the bcg from coming back far enough. -
Tested Lapua once fired in a Match 308 chamber and LC MG brass. Turns out at max depth in my Dillon 650, the die wasn't getting down far enough on the case. I switched over to a rockchucker and took the base of the die down to kiss the shell holder and now it chambers nicely. Ejecting is still best done with a gloved hand. The Mega barrel is nice and tight. I expect ejection to ease after I get the parts to mesh and wear. Headspace was checked and gtg.

Looks like my Redding FL s type bushing die wasn't sizing low enough. Went to Cabelas and bought a R CBS small base die and it seems to have improved. At least the bolt will now close on the round. It still is very difficult to pull back on the CH to eject it.

Seems like I can

Can't get it to chamber. Using a Schuyler BCG wich is supposedly mil spec. Cleaned the chamber, but no love. The rounds I'm ring are dummies built with Lapua and LC brass that chamber fine in my Rem 700 custom. Is there a recommended bolt to use with her?

I ordered 35mm rings to convert a 1.5 larue spr mount for a Vortex Razor. Problem is, I think it will be a little high. Anyone know Wichita mount will get me down around 1.25" center line height? Thanks in advance.

Bought here yesterday

Thanks. Didn't think of that. I'll probably just stay DPMS on all of it for simplicity and parts availability.
-
Thanks and will do.

Is it possible to use an Armalite barrel on a DPMS LR308 as long as I use an Armalite bolt in the LR308 BCG?
