I WILL NOT ERASE OR CENSOR THIS POST, SO THAT VISITORS WILL ALWAYS BE ABLE TO READ THIS PERSONS POOR JUDGEMENT, AND THE CONSEQUENCES IT REAPS. -ROBO JUNE, 21ST 2015 @ 1317HRS I want to just do a quick review of my experience with this guy from gunbroker. First and foremost, the product is good quality, I wouldn't think twice about getting a Matrix Aerospace receiver set.... ...I would think 3 times before buying from Chris Riedeman though. The guy is extremely unprofessional. So let me set the stage here. I will admit openly that I had a lapse in judgement a few years ago when I was new to GunBroker, and I let a purchase go incomplete. I got negative feedback for good reason from a different seller. I want it known that I'm not just some scumbag who doesn't live up to his end. I'm a Marine Vet (0331, 2/6 E Co.), and am currently a helicopter flight instructor after years of hard work. I'm an avid gun enthusiast, and a model citizen. So fast forward 2 years, and I'm trying to fix my feedback issues. So I decide I want to make a purchase and do it right and get some good feedback. I've been wanting to build an AR-308, and after some research I decided the Matrix Aerospace product that Mr. Riedeman is selling would be a good product for my build and pressed "Buy It Now". I immediately messaged him back regarding how to pay. It was at 1:30am, so I didn't get a reply till the next day, naturally. Once I did get a reply, I paid immediately the next morning. I was told to get FFL information, and after a flight I went directly to my FFL and got their information to send to Mr. Riedeman. Within 18 hours he had full payment and FFL information, well within the agreement that I'm held to by GunBroker, in fact likely quicker than a lot of buyers. Because I was very serious, I wanted to do it right! The next day I send a message asking if they received my FFL information, and a few hours later I get a response that they had and that they were shipping my product and would send me a tracking number. Sweet, going good so far! 2 1/2 days later I've heard nothing back, no tracking number, no anything. So I ask, "Do you have a tracking number?" verbatim. No answer for over 24 hours. It's 3 1/2 days later and I have NO confirmation my package has shipped, and NO communication from them clearing it up. I was ignored. So frustrated at this point I send another message that essentially goes like this "Look I'm getting frustrated here, has my product shipped? Are you going to send a tracking number? If you haven't send it, I'm not even mad, I just want my product and I will work with you no matter what, just keep me in the loop." Within a few minutes I get a tracking number and an apology for my being frustrated. After getting my tracking number, I found out that my product had actually been delivered to my FFL that morning I wrote my frustrated email. I didn't know this, otherwise I wouldn't have said anything, but there was no way for me to know if they'd even delivered it because they didn't send my tracking number and IGNORED me for several days. So as it turns out, shipping ended up being timely, and the transaction went well. I was left out of the loop and frustrated about that, but I had my product and didn't care. Time for that feedback right?? I told them I got it, that I was happy, sorry I got frustrated and that I'd leave them feedback after they left me some! No response.... So I figured I'd wait a week or so to see if they just left some.... No feedback. So I email them, and she tells me their on a vacation out of the country for 2 weeks and they'll leave feedback when they get home. No biggie, hey sweet I'd vacation out of country for a few weeks, and I understand! A month later, nothing. So I I have a trend of poor communication from this seller and I leave my feedback and send them a message requesting mine. I gave them a B. Why a B? Well because while I did get my product in a timely manner, the communication was awful. They left me in a position where I had no idea if my product had shipped or not, and ignored me for a total of 3 1/2 days! That's poor customer service, and they didn't live up to their word and didn't send a tracking number when they told me they would. In my mind a B is a passing grade, and they had passing service, but certainly not A quality. Next day I get a call from him, I was busy with flight and couldn't take it, I returned the call the next day. Dealing with him was extremely unpleasant. My conversation went like this; he originally told his wife NOT to leave me feedback (so she lied to me about leaving some after vacation), he said it was because I was rude (after being ignored for 3 1/2 days), and that now because I didn't give him the grade he wanted he was going to leave me poor feedback, then promptly hung up on me. WTF is this dudes deal?? No apology for the service, no calling to see what was going on, just threats and being hung up on?? Some customer service. Honestly, if he'd just called and sorted it out, I would've bumped his grade to an A- and went about my life, but he was EXTREMELY RUDE to me, over his mistake none-the-less! So I was livid, and for good reason, I was going to drop his grade to an F after that unprofessional display. However, after calming down for the rest of the day I decided to leave it what it was. I did write him a pretty lengthy email detailing what happened, pointed out in the thread that he'd ignored me (which he denied even though looking at the emails it's obvious), and told him why I gave him a B and that I'd leave it there. I kept looking and saw no feedback from him for over a week, and figured he'd just decided not to leave any and that was that. Quite the contrary. He decided to file a false report that I hadn't completed the transaction, and left me a D on my feedback. A FALSE report that I didn't complete the transaction?? And a D for being ignored? This dude is a joke. Recall, I had completed my appropriate actions within 18 hours. So what part of that is incomplete? What started off as trying to do the right thing and build my feedback has ended in me trying to dispute my account termination and dispute a poor feedback response that was undeserved. So I'll leave on this... Product is what it should be, shipping is what it should've been. COMMUNICATION was poor, very poor, he ignored me. CUSTOMER SERVICE was extremely poor. This dude is a snake and a liar. I would recommend nobody buy from him. Simply because he's a vengeful piece of crap who thinks it's ok to ignore customers. I make this on a forum so that potential buyers who have any questions can read a DETAILED report of how this dude acts. You can get these receivers elsewhere, and I would. I also have saved the screenshots of our communication thread in case anyone wants to call my bluff. I'm positive he's gonna post up some dramatic response about how he didn't ignore me. Feel free Chris, I'll just post the threads that show you in fact did blow me off. Worst experience ever.
